Creating a More Functional Coat Closet
If you’ve been here a while you will know that I LOVE reimagining underutilized spaces, especially closets. Our builder grade coat closet is a prime example of underutilized space and just wasn’t cutting it for our needs. I knew I wanted to get my hands on it, so I decided to remove everything from it and get to work.

Circular Saw Tutorial
I constantly use my circular saw for projects. Circular saws are versatile, and a great saw for beginners. They do have a slight learning curve, so I’m going to show you the basics of how to use one so you can start your own projects!

Adding Storage and Color to a Bathroom
The bathroom in our loft is a very large space with not a lot of storage, like most of our house. It’s also really basic and builder grade. There’s nothing wrong with that, but it doesn’t reflect my current design style. So I got to work coming up with a plan to revamp it into something functional that I love.

Autism Fidget Toys & Bags
Shortly after Jackie was diagnosed as autistic when we were going to a lot of different therapies, I started carrying around these little fidget bags wherever we went. I realized that they were a great tool to keep her entertained and I now have them in almost every bag we own! I have one in my purse, diaper bag, our church bag, her backpack and we even have one in her bed box. They have become such a staple for us that I decided I would show you what I put in each of ours!

Easy DIY Drawer Organizers
My mom asked me to put some drawer organizers in the drawers in her kitchen. She was getting frustrated with the clutter in two of her drawers specifically so I had her tape out the layout that she wanted and I used some scrap wood that we had and made it happen. After I finished with hers I liked it so much that I did the same thing to a few drawers in my house. The whole process was pretty simple, let me show you what I did.

The Home Binder + Download
In 2021, I shared my home binder on TikTok and it went viral. When we moved into our home, I decided I wanted a way to keep track of all the information about our house including the information that we got from the builder when we bought the house, the warranty details, appliance information, etc. I did this for my own reference, but also so any future owners of the house would have the information too. I loved how it turned out so I ended up creating a digital download so that anyone could make a home binder. This binder has worksheets with all of the information that you can input about your home, along with detailed instructions on how to find the information, because I know a lot of people don't have that. I wanted to make this process as simple and easy as possible for anybody who wanted to create their own home binder.

Lily Ann Cabinets Bonus Room
Time for a new project! My aunt and uncle have an awkward space above their garage. It’s kind of a bonus room that the builder finished, but they haven’t known how to use this space. So, with the help of the amazing team at Lily Ann Cabinets, I was able to take this bonus room space and make it so much more functional. Lily Ann Cabinets helped me design a space that included a desk area, a window seat, and tons of storage cabinets all in the White Shaker Elite style. So, let’s get started!

How We Use Countdown Chains
One of the many accommodations we use for our autistic daughter is countdown chains. Usually when we use these, I actually have our daughter help me make them. She loves doing crafts anyway, but I use this time to talk about what we are counting down and how many pieces we need for the chain. She personally seems to enjoy the entire process more when she's participated in creating it.

Peel & Stick Wallpaper for Powder Bathroom
In 2021 I decided to upgrade our very basic builder grade half bath on our first floor. It's a tall space so I wanted to split it up by adding a chair rail. I knew that I wanted to do some wallpaper on the top and after doing some research I decided to go with the peel and stick wallpaper from West Coast Wallpaper. It was so simple to order, after finding a pattern that I liked I gave them the measurements for the bathroom. They sent it in a set of panels that were clearly labeled so that I knew exactly what to do.
