Fall Florals on Different Budgets
I recently shared how my mom does my floral arrangements. I'm good at a lot of things, but floral arrangements are something that I struggle with. She really is a master and does an amazing job. While I try my best to find florals and extras that are inexpensive, the arrangements that she does are, admittedly, not cheap. She adds things that she already has purchased in the past, like Polish Pottery pieces, that add to the expense of these arrangements. I decided to compare and contrast these with a more frugal version with materials from the Dollar Tree and see how the Dollar Tree arrangements stack up. Let's get started!

Fall Tile Mat Designs
It's a change of season, so it's time for some new tile mat ideas! I have some traditional fall designs, some fun fall designs and even a bonus back to school design.

Side Yard Plans
We don't have much of a yard, but we do have a little side yard between our house and our next door neighbor's house, but currently it is full of mulch and our daughter hates mulch. So after a lot of back and forth with our HOA, I finally got approval to do create a new updated space. Let's talk about it!

Storage Closet Shelves
When we first moved into our house there was very little storage, but we did have a really big 15 x 3 ft. closet off of our deck. However because it was so long it was really difficult to store anything. It only had one long wire shelf stretching to the end so Items got piled on top of each other, space was underutilized and it ended up being an unorganized mess. I knew that there had to be a better way to utilize the space without having to take everything out every time I needed something. So I made a plan and got to work.

Why We Added a Door at The Bottom of Our Stairs
When we bought our house, it was listed as a three bedroom, four bathroom home. Well, the third bedroom it turned out was actually just the upstairs loft area. However, when you came up the stairs there was no door. We asked the builders if they could add a door, but they were adamantly against it because that was "not how they designed the house". I'm not sure how you can consider a space a bedroom if there is no door, but that's just me. So after living here for a year, we decided to add a door to the bottom of the stairs ourselves.

New Home Binders
Last year, I released The Home Binder download, which gives an outline and sections on how to create your own home binder. For those of you that are not familiar with the home binder, this tool gives you a place to put all of the information you need about your home. It includes your floor plan, flooring details, light fixtures, appliances, etc. That way, whenever you need to go back to reference, fix, or update something, you have all that information in one place. It's also a really great thing to pass on to the next owner of your house. Well, after a lot of feedback, I have now created three additional binders based off of the HomeBinder. We have the HomeBinder Volume 2, the Apartment Binder, and the Life Binder Volume 2. So, I'm going to give you a quick run-down on each of the new binders.

How I Afford My DIY Projects
ne of the most commonly asked question that I get is: how do you afford to do all of these DIYs? DIY can be expensive, but it's usually less expensive than hiring it out to someone else. So let me tell you some of my tips for doing DIY on a budget.

Our Stairs Basket System
As you know, our home is neurodivergent. We have two adults a six year old and an infant with a combination of ADHD, autism and anxiety. Even with all of the stuff that I have done to help reduce the clutter in our house, we somehow still end up accruing a lot of clutter. So one of the things that I have done to combat the clutter is having a basket system in place on our stairs. Don't know what a basket system is? Stick around and I'll explain it.

Duvet Hacks Everyone Needs
Duvets can be frustrating. There are multiple steps to get them set up, sharing with a partner can be a nightmare and they always seem to end up in a puddle inside the cover at the bottom of your bed. However, I have a few tips that are going to make having/using a duvet a breeze.

DIY Cabinet Pull Outs
Something I've wanted to do since we've moved into this house I've been frustrated with the lower cabinets in our kitchen. There is a lot of space, but it is so hard to get to anything. I knew that I wanted to install cabinet pullout drawers for two of the lower cabinets so that we can better utilize this space. Let's get started!

Family Emergency Kit
We live in a part of the country that has a lot of tornadoes, and three years ago there was a massive tornado that tore through our area. I've always been taught to have emergency kits for my family, but that tornado really solidified that need for me. Now, I try to be really vigilant about going through our kits every year to make sure they're up to date and we don't have anything that needs to be replaced. This year we have a new little person in our house, so I figured I'd take you along in the process of changing out our old ones while also making a new one. Let's get started!
