Tile Mat Design Ideas for the Holidays

I have found that my followers seem to be really big fans of my tile mat content. Which I get, this mat is amazing! Since I’m now decorating for Christmas, I decided to give you some ideas of designs for Christmas with your tile mat too.

Tile Mat Design Ideas | About Letterfolk

I’ve talked a lot about my love of Letterfolk, the company that makes my tile mat. I’ve had this mat since the company first came out with it in 2018 and love customizing my mat for each season. The company started when founders Joanna and Johnny wanted to create a way to celebrate milestones, holidays, and more in a unique way without buying a new outdoor rug for each season. Since then they’ve grown their company to include the unique tile mats, placemats, letter boards, clocks and more. The mats come in four different base colors: black, white, dark green and a clay orange color. There are options to buy the tiles in themed sets like holidays or back to school, and colors like coastal, neon or floral. The options really are endless and mixing and matching is so much fun!

Tile Mat Design Ideas | Colorful Holiday Designs

Now, onto the Christmas designs. First, let's do the trees. I'm using the colors mistletoe, raspberry sorbet, and glacial blue for the trees. After assembling the trees, I used gold tiles for all three stars at the tops of the trees and black for the all of the bases. For the ornaments I used rose gold, Atlantic blue, lilac, mistletoe, aqua lagoon, daffodil, and cherry blossom.

Next up is the snowflake design. Letterfolk has designed this mat so ingeniously making it really easy to do designs like this. You can make so many different kinds of snowflakes when you do a snowflake design. For this design I made three large snowflakes and four small snowflakes. I used the colors glacial blue, aqua lagoon, and Atlantic blue.

Tile Mat Design Ideas | Traditional Holiday Designs

I tend to go bright and colorful with my Christmas décor, but I know that’s not for everyone so I wanted to give a few more traditional options. I’m calling this mat option “Merry”. On this mat, I made flowers using the colors evergreen, gold, rose gold. I was originally going to do all of the flowers in evergreen, but I ran out so that’s why I have a rose gold and a gold one. I like that it added a little extra color into it. Then I used the color berry to write the word “merry” in the middle of the flowers.

For this last design, “Believe”, I decided to go pretty simple. This is a great design if you are a beginner when it comes to tile mat. For this one, I wrote believe in the color berry added one snowflake in gold, and that's it! Hopefully these designs give you some inspiration for creating your own tile mats for Christmas this year.
