Summer Tile Mat Ideas

It's time for some summer tile mat ideas! First though, I want to talk about how I organize my loose tiles. I use a photo organizer from Michael's craft store. I got it for 50% off, so I think it ended up being around $18. I love it because I can keep everything separate, but it's clear so I can easily see what I have. Any leftover tiles that are bigger or extra I put in an additional small photo organizer. Now, onto the fun stuff: the summer designs!

Summer Tile Mat Ideas | Hello Summer

The first design I kept super simple with just "Hello Summer" spelled out colorfully. I used 47 Daffodil tiles for "Hello" and 57 Raspberry Sorbet tiles for "Summer". I love how these colors pop against the black mat. If you have been here long enough, you've seen the saga of the discoloration of the white mat. I definitely recommend getting a black mat if you're going to keep it outside because it has held up beautifully compared to the white.

Summer Tile Mat Ideas | Red White & Blue

The next design is something a little more patriotic because I know a lot of people like to decorate with red, white, and blue for Memorial Day and 4th of July. I used 72 Fog tiles, 72 Cinnamon tiles, and 54 Glacial Blue tiles to create this red, white, and blue flower design. I like that this one is simple, but not super in your face while still giving that patriotic vibe. I love that this design can be kept up from May to July and be patriotic all the way through.

Summer Tile Mat Ideas | Ocean

This "Ocean" design is the most intricate design of all of them. I used 15 Fog tiles, 66 Atlantic Blue tiles, 66 Glacial Blue tiles, 65 Aqua Lagoon tiles, and 25 Daffodil tiles. I started off with two rows of Atlantic Blue on the bottom of the mat and followed it with two rows of the Glacial Blue, and I topped it off with two rows of Aqua Lagoon to make the ocean waves. I used the Fog tiles to make the three seagulls over the ocean and finished it off with the sun from the Daffodil tiles. Summer always makes me think of the beach, so I knew I wanted to bring that into the design.

Summer Tile Mat Ideas | Popsicles

For the last idea I went with another simple colorful design. I used 15 Fog tiles, 24 Glacial Blue tiles, 24 Raspberry Sorbet tiles, 24 Lilac tiles, 24 Daffodil tiles and 24 Field Day Green tiles. I made the popsicles going in rainbow order and then used the Fog tiles for the popsicle sticks. This is probably my favorite of these designs; I like it so much that it is the design currently on my front porch. Just like the "Hello Summer" design, the colors really pop against this black mat and its just so fun! Everything I  used is linked below, including the tile organizer. If you make any of these designs, be sure to tag me. I love to see what you create!
