Spring Tile Mat Ideas

DIY

It's March, which means spring is coming. You know what the change of season means? New tile mat ideas! I have a few colorful, joy-inducing designs I know you'll love. Let's get started!

Spring Tile Mat Ideas | Daisies

Daisies are my favorite flower and I have enough colors that I could do a few different daisies. So I decided to do that for this first design. This design is very simple and cute so it's great for a beginning tile mat designer. I used 41 Fog, 36 Carnation Pink, and 42 Sunflower tiles. I alternated the white and yellow centers based on the color of the flower petals. Then I alternated the color pattern for each row just to make sure things didn't line up exactly. Again, a super simple and pretty quick one to put together and could last you through the summer if you don't want to change it!

Spring Tile Mat Ideas | Welcome

This next one is really similar to the "Daisies" design. Instead of doing multiple rows, I used the daisies as a border on the top and the bottom, and then I added the welcome in the middle. I used 55 Fog, 42 Carnation Pink, 42 Sunflower, 14 Gold, and 67 Sugarplum tiles for the flowers. Because I used so many tiles for the flowers, the only color I would have been able to do the welcome in to coordinate exactly with the daisies would have been Fog, but that still would have been pushing it. I likely would not have had enough tiles to do the flowers and the welcome in that same color. That's why it's a different color here. I think it still looks really cute all together and am loving how this design turned out.

Spring Tile Mat Ideas | Hoppy Easter

Next up are some Easter designs. The first one says Hoppy Easter with some bunnies on it as well. I used 92 Fog, 14 Sand, 14 Aqua Lagoon, 14 Carnation Pink, 14 Lilac, 14 Spring Green, 14 Cherry Blossom, and 14 Sunflower tiles. I originally had the E and the H lowercase, but I decided to make them uppercase and I like how that looks much better. It's really cute. I like this one a lot and it was easy to use the springtime pastels.

Spring Tile Mat Ideas | Eggs

The next design is Easter eggs that are all at different angles. I've seen a regular front door mat that looks like this and I wanted to recreate it. I used 27 Fog, 6 Spring Green, 31 Carnation Pink, 18 Atlantic Blue, 20 Aqua Lagoon, 22 Glitter Pink, 40 Glitter Teal, 42 Sugar Plum, 3 Cherry Blossom, 19 Tropical Teal, 32 Cinnamon, 22 Lilac, 4 Mistletoe, 15 Sand, and 11 Sunflower tiles. I loved this egg design and if I hadn't done the next design, this is the one that would have stayed on my tile mat for the next couple of months, but the next design was so time intensive, it became the front door winner for now.

Spring Tile Mat Ideas | Flowers

Ever since I did a floral design on my tile mat last year in the spring, I've wanted to do a completely covered tile mat with florals. I used every single color that I have, and I'm going to play around with it a little bit more, and you may have different combinations of this in the future, but this is where it is now. The more I look at it, the more I love it. This is definitely not a beginner design, so get ready for the long list of tiles! I used 24 Sugar Plum, 24 Mistletoe, 20 Gold, 22 Atlantic Blue, 24 Holly Berry, 22 Aqua Lagoon, 20 Sunflower, 24 Rose Gold, 22 Glitter Pink, 24 Glitter Teal, 24 Tropical Teal, 18 Evergreen, 22 Carnation Pink, 24 Lilac, 20 Cherry Blossom, 20 Spring Green, 24 Glitter Gold, 22 Ocean Blue, 24 Cinnamon. 24 sand, 18 wild plum and 78 fog tiles.

As always I love creating these tile mat designs and will continue to each season, so stay tuned! You can shop all of the tiles I used below. Happy tile-making!
