Baby Items I’m Using Again for Baby #2
I’m having baby number two in March! I have some tried and true things I will be reusing because they were just too good to get rid of after Jackie grew out of them. Let’s round up my favorite baby items I can’t live without.
4 Moms MamaRoo
First on the list is the 4Moms Mama Roo. The Mama Roo is an alternative to a baby swing. It has a few different motions that mimic different motions to lull baby like car ride, bouncing, etc. as well as multiple sounds and speeds. They are GREAT if you need some hands free time, but aren’t recommended for safe sleep at night. Full transparency: these haven’t been recalled, but if you have certain models (which I do), consumers have been advised to get an extra strap. I’ve requested one so I can use this safely. We’re really excited to use it again because Jackie loved it!
UppaBaby Vista Stroller and Mesa Car Seat
Next up is our Uppababy Vista stroller and the Mesa car seat that goes with it. I absolutely LOVE this system. It’s definitely an investment, but in my opinion SO worth it. After a TON of research, I purchased it before Jackie was born because I knew it would last a really, really long time. We love that it rides super smoothly, can fit up to 3 kids (two in seats and one on an attached ride-along board), is super sleek and spacious and is super sturdy.
Guava Lotus Travel Crib
We love the Guava Family Lotus travel crib. This crib is so great for travel because its nice and light and folds up into a backpack for easy transport. The material is breathable and there is convenient access from above and unzipped on the side. It’s a great playpen too!
Lalabu Mom & Dad Soothe Shirts
The Lalabu Soothe shirts are a MUST for us. It’s a form fitting shirt with a pouch to hold the baby as a kind of introduction to baby wearing. The pouch holds a baby from approximately 7-15lbs (or up to 4 months), the material is nice and breathable but you still feel confident the baby is totally supported. They originally sent me one when I had Jackie and then I bought a second one and we bought a third one for my husband because we loved them so much.
Bumbo Multi Seat
The Bumbo Multi Seat is a game changer. It is made to be used once baby can sit up on their own and transitions as the baby ages. We love that it has a belt, tray that slides in the back and a removable insert. It is super easy to clean and attaches easily to any chair. It's great for traveling or keeping at a family members house because it light weight and compact.
Peg Perego High Chair
The Peg Perego was a hand-me-down from someone else who'd gotten it from somebody else. So Jackie was like the eighth kid to use it and baby will be the ninth. Let me tell you: this high chair has withstood the test of time. We love that it can transition between baby stages with multiple heights and recline positions, is super easy to clean, folds up nicely and has wheels to make moving it super easy.
Hannah Anderson Pajamas
Let’s be honest: I love just about everything Hannah Anderson. These pajamas, however, are hands down my favorite thing they make. They are SO soft, come with choice of buttons or zippers, are super durable (they look the same after many many washes) and have a wide array of sizes (even mommy and me matching sets!). I will likely get some new ones as well for this baby, but hands down best pajamas ever!
Love to Dream Sleepsack
The Love to Dream sleep sacks are amazing. We love that they are breathable, they allow baby to keep hands up by their faces, but feel supported and are super user friendly. They also have transition swaddles that zip off where the arms are to transition baby out of swaddle as they get older. Jackie slept GREAT in this. Obviously, every kid is different and I'm going to try a couple different sleep sacks with this baby, but the Love to Dream sleep sacks will definitely be in our rotation.
Getting all of these items out of storage has definitely made it real that we’re getting so close to meeting baby brother. It feels like forever, but also like I don’t have enough time! You can shop our favorite items below and stay tuned for the items I’m buying new with this baby.
