Winter Home Decor 2020 | After Christmas Decor

Our home always feels so sad and empty after I put the Christmas decorations away, especially if I don't leave anything out. I do keep some pieces out, it's nothing like what I do at Christmas. And instead of buying or even just having extra pieces for this time of year, I just continue to use what we have. Very much like my Christmas decor, the majority of the items are neutral colors so I can use them throughout several seasons.

Winter Home Decor 2020 | Flower Wreath

One of my favorite pieces is the wreath, partially because I made it. When The Husband and I were first married, I got into making burlap wreaths to give me something to do and to make a little money. The flowers on this wreath are all made from burlap and took up to 30 minutes to make. So it was very much a labor of love to create it. This specific wreath is new this year but I have used similar, smaller ones in the past. One of those smaller ones fell off our front door earlier this year and the base broke. I took a second wreath in the same colors and combined them into a larger wreath.

Winter Home Decor 2020 | Centerpiece

I did a post in November on creating a toddler friendly Christmas centerpiece that could be repurposed after the holidays. I removed anything that was Christmas themed from the centerpiece, moved a few pieces to other spots in the home, and I was done. Again this is the benefit of using neutral colors in my Christmas decor.
