Valentine’s Day Tile Mat Ideas

DIY

One of the last steps of putting Christmas decor away is switching over to a new holiday. My tile mat is not exception. I switched out the old Christmas design and deep cleaned it with Dawn dish soap. Then, I removed the tiles, cleaned those off with dawn dish soap again and then dried everything off. This gave me a clean slate to start working on the new Valentines Day tile mat designs! Let me show you what I created for you!

Valentine’s Day Tile Mat Ideas | Lines of Hearts

The first design I'm doing is the line of hearts design. I really like this one. I just used a bunch of different pinks I had on hand. I used 52 Fog, 52 Sugar Plum, 26 Rose Gold, 52 Glitter Pink, 52 Carnation Pink and 52 Cinnamon tiles. The order of the color switches with each line so that they aren't all lined up. I think this one is pretty cute. It definitely is a little bit more work than some of the other designs that I've shared, but it looks really good with the door.

Valentine’s Day Tile Mat Ideas | Stripes

This next one is great if you don't necessarily want to be so "in your face" Valentine's Day, but you still want to stick with the colors. I decided to do stripes because I just really liked the idea of something simple and cute, but still Valentine's Day. I used 149 Fog, 72 Sugar Plum and 40 Carnation Paint tiles. Likes I said, I used a lot of the Fog tiles, so you're going to have to make sure you have a lot of Fog before you start this design, or know that you will need to switch it up and do some reds in there as well. I think the red stripe is really pretty as well, especially if that's your vibe and it looks really cute at the door.

Alternatively, you could add some red to this design by adding stripes in Cinnamon. For this, you will need 128 Fog, 42 Carnation Pink, 40 Cinnamon and 46 Sugar Plum tiles.

Valentine’s Day Tile Mat Ideas | XOXO

This next one might be my favorite. I really like the XOXO look, but I wanted to have a heart instead of an O. I originally wanted to use the Carnation Pink for both of the hearts, but I don't have enough of the Carnation Pink, so I went with Sugar Plum and Carnation Pink. I ended up using 36 Fog, 39 Sugar Plum, and 39 Carnation Pink. I actually really like how it turned out, it's kind of like a gradient ombre look with the two different color hearts, it's cute!

Alternatively, you can do this same design using red and pink. For this design, you will need 36 Fog, 39 Cinnamon and 39 Carnation Pink tiles.
