Things I Regret Bringing or Forgot for 6 Months Out of the Country

Since I've already addressed the things I'm glad I brought overseas, I wanted to also go over the things I regret bringing or wish I had brought for six months in Argentina.

Too Many Clothes

We haven't been here two months quite yet, but I feel like I brought too many clothes. I brought clothes for winter, because it is winter here currently in the southern hemisphere, but I feel like I'm just wearing the same things all the time. I also feel like I brought way too many things for when it gets warmer.

My Hairdryer

Part of the reason why I'm not using my hairdryer is because I forgot to bring a voltage converter. Realistically I know I could go out and find one. Have I done that yet? No. Did I bring plenty of plugs to convert my U.S. plugs to Argentinian plugs? Yes. Instead of using heat, I've been really going heatless. I've been using the Sleepy Tie and my heatless curler. I generally wash my hair once a week and let it air dry. Then, the nights I want it to be straight, I put it up in the Sleepy Tie, which is supposed to maintain a blowout. Obviously I'm not doing a blowout, but if I really like how my hair looks, I'll put it in the Sleepy Tie and then sleep on it. It just makes it look really good. On days when I want to have curls, I will use the heatless curler. I also get a lot more of a hold with my curls when I do it on much dirtier hair days and then multiple days in a row my hair holds the curl longer.

Eufy and Vacuum

I really wish I had brought my Eufy handheld vacuum and regular vacuum. My Eufy is fantastic. It charges with a USB so I wouldn't need any special plugs for it and it's so awesome. We don't have a regular vacuum in our apartment either and I'm really missing it. Could I go get one? Absolutely. Do I feel like buying one for six months here? No. So I'm doing an awful amount of sweeping. I may have my mom bring at least the Eufy with her when she comes to visit in October, because we still have 2.5 months to go.

Reusable Water Bottles

I really wish I had brought our water bottles from home. I was originally planning on bringing my Stanley and my daughter's water bottle, but things got really hectic towards the end of packing and I just couldn't find the space for them so I left them at home. I found water bottles for us here and I really don't love them. The one I got for my daughter ended up breaking within a few days. Luckily, I was able to find a replacement really quickly, but they still have not been my favorite.

Voltage Converter

Do I wish I had brought one with me? Yes. I probably would be using my hairdryer more, but at the same time, like I already said, I'm not using heat on my hair as much and my hair has liked the break.

Even though I wish I had these items, none of them are a huge deal and we’re enjoying soaking up all of the time what we have here.
