Illinois: The Mississippi and Pumpkin Patches

On Sunday we took my cousin down to the Mississippi to see the river. She is studying the Mississippi River in school and we thought it would be really fun for her to get some pictures. There was an awesome Lewis and Clark memorial that The Husband, being a Idaho native, loved! We walked around town a little bit and found some neat buildings and this great Mississippi River museum. I loved the wall on the outside of the museum, we couldn't resist a few pictures! Later in the day, we went to a pumpkin patch because we had been hearing about the pink pumpkins some of the locals grew. I wasn't sure what we were going to find, but the pumpkins were actually pink! It turned out that the pumpkin patch was only open on Saturdays but was open for Self pay all the time, something I am not used to! We picked some awesome pumpkins and left the correct amount in the drop box!
