Illinois: The Davie School Inn

While we were in Illinois, we stayed at the Davie School Inn. When I found out we were going to be staying at a Bed & Breakfast that used to be a school, I was really interested in how this was going to go. When we got to the Inn, I was actually really surprised! The owners had purchased the school but had done everything they could to keep the school feel intact. Each of the suites was an actual classroom so they had several beds. There were items from the old school all over the building, which was really cool!Illinois: The Davie School Inn | Breezing Through Illinois: The Davie School Inn | Breezing Through Illinois: The Davie School Inn | Breezing Through Illinois: The Davie School Inn | Breezing Through Illinois: The Davie School Inn | Breezing ThroughI loved all of the little touches throughout the Inn. They had handmade soap, which was packaged so nicely! I have to say that one of my favorite things about our stay was the breakfast!! The food was fantastic! I had brought a loaf of gluten free bread with me to make sure that I had something I could eat in case I couldn't get my hands on something. I gave the loaf of bread to the Inn owner and he used it to make French Toast on the last morning we were there. It was AMAZING!Illinois: The Davie School Inn | Breezing Through Illinois: The Davie School Inn | Breezing Through Illinois: The Davie School Inn | Breezing Through Illinois: The Davie School Inn | Breezing Through Illinois: The Davie School Inn | Breezing Through Illinois: The Davie School Inn | Breezing Through Illinois: The Davie School Inn | Breezing Through Illinois: The Davie School Inn | Breezing ThroughThe Davie School Inn was one of the best and most unique B&B's I have stayed at and I would definitely recommend staying there if you are in the Southern Illinois area!Breezing Through Blog
