Good Buffet, Bad Idea

A couple members of our client's team recommended that we try Mama Hamil's Buffet for lunch. Mama Hamil's is a giant home style Buffet in Madison, MS outside of Jackson.The decor is country kitsch. It kind of feels like the head designer at Cracker Barrel was hired and told to make it more "down home" looking, including old Archie Manning photos on the wall (he's a local hero).But I didn't come to get decorating ideas, I came to eat! I give the food here high marks. I'm generally skeptical of buffets. I find that the quantity usually equates to reduced quality. That was not the case here. The food was fresh and the staff made every effort to turn over the food often to ensure freshness.Everything I tried was good, but the pork and the fried chicken were the stars of the show. I also have a weakness for banana pudding. Mama H did not disappoint me in that department either!All and all it was a great dining experience. However, it was a really bad idea. I was really sleepy the next few hours of work!
