Charleston, SC: Kiawah Island Golf Resort

Kiawah Island Golf Resort is a private island south of Charleston, South Carolina. The island consists  of the Sanctuary Hotel, Resort Villas and Premier & Private homes. Just before you arrive on the island is a beautiful shopping center where you will find lots of fun shops, restaurants and a Harris Teeter (the only grocery store for miles).We spent a lot of time walking around the island, peering at the houses there. They were incredible! There were several that were under construction as well, more massive than the ones already built.
