Charleston, SC: Kaiwah Island Beach

The majority of the time we were in South Carolina, it was chilly. That really didn't stop us though! We were at the beach, so we were going to take full advantage of it. The home we stayed in had a beautiful private boardwalk out to the beach. We would go down to the beach and find all sorts of critters in the sand and in the tidal pools during low tide.Charleston, SC: Kaiwah Island Beach | Breezing ThroughCharleston, SC: Kaiwah Island Beach | Breezing Through Charleston, SC: Kaiwah Island Beach | Breezing ThroughCharleston, SC: Kaiwah Island Beach | Breezing ThroughCharleston, SC: Kaiwah Island Beach | Breezing Through

My favorite picture of the entire trip! She was so proud of her sand castle!

The tidal pools were great for finding hermit crabs and star fish! The water was also much warmer than the ocean. Charleston, SC: Kaiwah Island Beach | Breezing Through Charleston, SC: Kaiwah Island Beach | Breezing Through Charleston, SC: Kaiwah Island Beach | Breezing ThroughCharleston, SC: Kaiwah Island Beach | Breezing Through Charleston, SC: Kaiwah Island Beach | Breezing Through

There were lots of horseshoe crab shells along the beach, but none of the crabs were ever alive. We loved seeing the starfish and all of the crabs!
