Charleston, SC: Downtown

Kiawah Island is about 30-40 minutes away from downtown Charleston depending on traffic. because of this, we didn't get to spend a ton of time in the city. We did carve out time on Wednesday to spend the entire day there though. I love just wandering around Charleston and looking at all of the houses. There is always so much to look at and I love the old buildings! I also love all of the gardens & allies. Most houses don't have a lot of yard space or have allies between them and instead of letting it go or leaving it as concrete, people have made these spaces into the most beautiful garden spaces! Each one is unique and its hard to pick my favorites!
