Birdies Starling Review | New Shoes

You may have noticed a new pair of shoes in my rotation. I have been eyeing these shoes for awhile now and thanks to my sister in law for letting me try hers on, I finally pulled the trigger. Now that I have had them for over a month, I wanted to share a Birdies Starling review so you can read an unbiased review of these shoes. I had been looking for a new pair of flats that I could wear to church, work and every day that were also comfy. I feel like most flats are just blah. And as a working mom, I like to be in flats most of the time. Don't get me wrong, I love heels but after so many years of wearing flats due to my hip issues, they are just what I am the most comfortable in. So I did lots of research. You all know me. I do my research. Normally not this intense when it comes to shoes but I like I said, I wanted a lot out of this shoe and I knew I would be investing more than I usually do. That's when I landed on Birdies.

Like I said, my sister in law bought a pair and let me try hers on over the holidays. I was surprised how comfy they were! That try on sold the shoes for me and now I was on the hunt for the perfect color. I had seen the limited edition glitter Starlings that had been released and of course my size 10 was sold out. But I kept checking back. And checking back, and checking back. And finally, they had my size in stock! So I bought them and waited for them to come.

Like most shoes, they were a little stiff when I first put them on. I wore them around for a few days and they molded to my foot and the stiffness went away. I knew these were my new go to shoes. I hardly have an arch so finding a shoe with arch support that isn't painful can be hard. A flat that I want to keep on ALL THE TIME is also a huge win for me. The other big deal for me is these shoes didn't give me blisters. I have very thin skin on my ankles and most shoes give me blisters. Even shoes I have owned and worn for years. But not these Birdies. I completely skipped the blister phase which made these shoes even more appealing in my mind.

Of course, now the glitter style is completely sold out. But there there have been some new colors released and I can't decide which ones I love more! These navy ones are beautiful but I love how neutral the blush ones are.
