Idaho: West Idaho State Fair
We went back to Boise after 2 days at Lake Cascade. It was fun to spend time with my husband's family and just to relax. We only see them twice a year (summer and Christmas) so it was great to get in some quality time! One day we decided to go to the West Idaho State Fair, which is held in Boise every summer. I really had never been to a state fair before so it was really fun to go and see everything that was there! The kids and my husband really loved the rides so we went on as many as we possibly could (well they did). I could only stand about three or four of the really intense rides before I started to get a bad headache (I sound really lame!). So I would sit and watch, holding everyone's stuff, while they road the rides. It made for some awesome pictures though! I really liked seeing all of the animals! Some of them were really funny (the chicken with the weird black and white hair do) and the goats were really friendly! We stopped and got a prickly pair lemonade, which is so good, and then headed home. On our way back, we stopped at the Westside Diner (it has been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives) and got some ice cream potatoes! They really look like potatoes but are ice cream put into potato shaped molds, rolled in coco powder and topped with think whipped cream! If you have a chance to go to the West Idaho State Fair, you really should!I will be emailing the winner of the Julep Nail Polish giveaway today! Did you win!?
