UAE: Working The Event

When the conference started Monday morning, we were ready to go. And boy was it crazy! There were almost 300 people there from over 30 countries! For a first time event, that is a big deal! We were prepared enough that nothing hugely went wrong but we learned a lot along the way!Registration was one of our big learning experiences. There was a lot that worked out well but our tablets that we used for check in didn't work. We had to find new ways to make things work and fast!I met a lot of amazing people and when I had a moment to breathe, I had a lot of fun. It was pretty crazy being in charge of that many people and making sure everything went smoothly!I love that this picture actually shows how stressed I was. I am smiling in a lot of the other ones but this captured, what I think, is how I felt the entire event! Note: I am not rolling my eyes at anyone, I was trying to remember what the answer to the person's question was! This again captures the behind the scenes of what goes on at an event. I'm usually all smiles for the attendees but sometimes I have to deal with something ridiculous. And you can tell I am mad because of the pursed lip (Devil Wears Prada reference!).I had, with out a doubt, the most amazing team of people that helped with this event. They were all so much fun and took a lot of the pressure off of me. I love these shots of them just being themselves!Overall, it was an amazing event. So amazing in fact, we are doing it again in Jordan! That is why I was there in June and why I will be going back in November and February! I am so excited to see how this next event goes!
