5 Pairs of Slippers to Buy This Winter | Why Buy Slippers

I have been buying slippers on and off for the last few years. The pom pair you see in these pictures are old and honestly ended up in the trash after I took the pictures. I needed an even number of shoes, ok? Last year, I bought the brown boot-like slippers to wear post PAO surgery. I knew I would need something that could keep my feet warm but was also stable enough for me to walk in. After a lot of searching, I settled on those. Sadly, UGG isn't making them this year. But oh they were warm!

After how much I wore those slippers, I decided that I should be buying a new pair of slippers every year. The Nordstrom Anniversary sale is a really good time to stock up ahead of time but you can also buy good UGGs for a great deal during the Half Yearly sale later in the year. I bought the gray pair during the Anniversary Sale, thinking I would wear them when the weather got colder. Well, my feet got cold and I started wearing them much sooner than I expected! So when I found the glitter pair I knew it was time to add another pair.

There are so many slippers to choose from so I am rounding up 5 pairs for you today!

5 Pairs of Slippers to Buy This Winter | UGG® Scuffette II Slipper

So I am actually cheating and sharing more than 5 pairs of slippers. There are several pairs of UGG slippers that come in a few varieties. Instead of giving each type their own section, I am just going to talk about them all together. Let's start out with the Scuffette II Slipper.

The Scuffette II Slipper is your generic comfy slipper with no back. It comes in 5 colors so you should be able to find a color that works best with your wardrobe. If you are like me and you found those colors a little boring, you can always opt for the Scuffette II Sparkle Slipper. I was so excited to find these! I saw something similar last year but they were sold out before I could get my size. The Sparkle Slipper comes in 4 colors. I was tempted to get the pink because very often gold can be too yellow for me. But this gold is more pink so it appears to be almost rose gold! That's a win for me. If you don't like either of those options, you do have the Scuffett II Satin Slipper as an option. I personally don't love the look but to each their own.

The best thing about these slippers is the bottom. They have a solid, sturdy sole which means you can wear them outside. I got these in the mail yesterday so I haven't had a chance to actually wear them outside yet but I know I will. I take the trash out in slipper. I check the mail in slippers. So they need to have a sturdy sole. These do!

5 Pairs of Slippers to Buy This Winter | UGG® Dakota Slipper

This is the perfect almost shoe. There are 4 varities of this slipper so you will find something you like. The Dakota Slipper comes in 10 colors, including a bright pink. They look like most other slippers but they are so comfy! If you are looking for something a little more exciting, there are two color options of the Sparkle Slipper or four color options of the Pom Pom Slipper.

As I mentioned earlier, I bought the Suede Bow slippers during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this year. With 4 colors to choose from, they work really well with any outfit. I have loved these slippers and have probably almost worn them out. They also have a great sole. There have been a few times where I have found myself outside in my slippers, thinking I was wearing shoes.

5 Pairs of Slippers to Buy This Winter | UGG® Cozy Knit Genuine Shearling Slipper

These look so comfy! They are similar to the Scuffette II slippers in that they don't have a back but have a really good sole. There are three color options but I personally like the creme the best!

5 Pairs of Slippers to Buy This Winter | UGG® Ansley Water Resistant Slipper

If you are planning on wearing your slippers outside, these would be an amazing option. Water resistant slippers sound like something that could withstand a little rain and maybe even some snow. There are 8 color options including a very bright pink that would be hard to loose in your closet.

5 Pairs of Slippers to Buy This Winter | J Crew Factory Suede Shearling Slippers

These are incredibly popular and the least expensive of the five varieties I have shared. I do not currently own a pair but I have in the past and they are a good solid pair of house shoes. They are not as warm as the UGG options but would you really expect that? For less than $40, these are the best ones to get if you are on a budget or aren't sure you are going to wear them as often.
