Shopping in Buenos Aires

We're halfway through out time in Argentina, can you believe it? Before I came, I had no idea what the shopping would be like here so I figured I would take you along for a few shopping trips so you know what you can and can't get here. Lets go!

Shopping in Buenos Aires | Alto Paleramo

My husband comes home early one or two days a week so I can have some alone time. This is when most of the shopping happens, it’s much easier to shop by myself than with the kids! The first stop on my shopping trip was Palermo Alto shopping mall. I went to Kiehl's first because I was out of my holy grail moisturizer. I've been out of it long enough that even though it is much more expensive here than in the States, I stocked up on it. I grabbed a few other things that were on sale and then headed to the next place.

I headed back to Prüne, which is my favorite leather retailer here in Buenos Aires. I have looked at a few other brands, but haven't found anything that compares style, price and quality-wise to Prüne. I wasn't planning on it originally, but I ended up getting another bag on this trip. I also got a belt that I love. It's almost like a grayish-brown with a beautiful buckle that sold me. I ended up getting a few things for gifts as well. I'm so amazed by the quality and price. I paid $25 for the gifts which would be unheard of at home. The purse I ended up getting is definitely on the smaller side, but I really love it. It's nice having a bag that's separate from the diaper bag when we're out, even when it's just me and the kids. This way the kids stuff is in the diaper bag and my stuff is in here.

Shopping in Buenos Aires | San Telmo

The next shopping location was to the San Telmo market, which is the best on Sundays. We got a darling little bear hat in the colors of the Argentine flag, and I love that the nose is the yellow sun that's on the flag. My daughter also picked out a dog toy for my brother's dog.

We got Messi socks because he's a big deal here and we have a family member we always get socks for. Then, of course I was shopping so I got another purse for only $15 USD. This purse is fully leather, has adjustable straps and looks to possibly be hand stitched. It's not huge and won't fit all the things I need while out, but my plan is to test the purse out and see if it holds up in general and then I'll go back and grab some for gifts.

I’m sure we will do some more shopping while we are here, especially since my mom is headed here so I’ll keep you updated if we find any more amazing finds!
