My Favorite Sweater Dresses

My Favorite Sweater Dresses | Sweater Dresses

I have always loved sweater dresses but there is something about the ones that are out this year that I am really liking. They are an easy way to dress up while staying warm and comfy! I wanted to share some of my favorites that I have picked up this year or still have from last year that remain staples in my closet. You can also head to my Instagram to see more in my stories!

I have broken this down by where the dresses are from so you can shop them from each location. I have more than one dress from a few stores so be sure to read through each of the sections to make sure you get all of the info!

My Favorite Sweater Dresses | Amazon Dresses

I ordered this dress last year in the coral to bring a little more color to my winter wardrobe. I did get it in a small. I love how long the dress is and that it is incredibly warm! I ended up loving it so much that I bought it in blue a few weeks later. I will say that this is a true bodycon dress. I could have sized up to a medium for a looser fit, which I think I would have been more comfortable with for more occasions. It is nice to layer this dress with a belt and a sweater for when you don't want to wear a coat or if you are going to be somewhere that is very cold.

I added this purple sweater dress to my closet last spring and I don't think I have ever gotten more compliments on a dress. People will stop me and ask where it is from whenever I wear it and are always shocked it's from Amazon! This dress is true to size.

My Favorite Sweater Dresses | Old Navy Dresses

Old Navy has had some great sweater dresses this year. I honestly think these dresses are going to remain staples in my wardrobe for several years. Let's start with the fair isle sweater dress. I talked about this one in my Mommy & Me Thanksgiving Outfits post in November. It comes in two colors and is pretty short on the model. I did size up to a medium to give it some more length and a cozier fit.

I added this green sweater dress to my closet in October and it's been a staple ever since. You can see my favorite way to style it in this post. This dress has 1/2 sleeves so you can easily layer it without getting too hot. I did get my normal size, small, and it fits perfectly. The length is good and I didn't feel like I needed to size up.

I added this camel dress to my closet last week and I wasn't sure at first if I was going to love it. I got it during Cyber Week so it was a great deal and looked very cozy. I am here to tell you that not only do I love it, but I think I will be living in it for the rest of the winter. It is so cozy but looks like I am dressed up and trying. I also love the length of it. I can wear boots or booties with it and it will look great! You can see how I styled it with booties here.

My Favorite Sweater Dresses | J Crew Dress

This is second time I have bought this dress from J Crew. When I bought last year's version, I wasn't a fan. It didn't fit well and just made me look lumpy in places I am not lumpy. But this year, I thought I would give it another try. I love this year's version of this dress! It is incredibly soft and stretchy. It comes in a bunch of colors and I feel like it fits true to size.

My Favorite Sweater Dresses | Gal Meets Glam Dress

I bought this dress during the Gal Meets Glam Pink Week sale during Cyber Week. I kept coming back to it and felt like I would ended up wearing it a lot if I added it to my closet. I ended up loving the color and the fit of this dress. I have found that Gal Meets Glam makes amazing clothes so you really do get what you pay for with their clothes! I do think I could have sized up to a medium in this dress for a more loose look.

My Favorite Sweater Dresses | Target Dress

This dress originally came in 5 colors but is only available in 3 now. The color that I have, rose, is available and it is on sale for $10! If you are looking to only buy one sweater dress this season, this one is it. For the price, you can't beat it. It is a medium weight so it is perfect to wear alone or layered with a cardigan or sweater over it!
