Mezi App Review

Photo Nov 04, 7 22 23 AMNot too long after I started blogging I was talking to a friend about content of my posts. He told me that he is more trusting of bloggers when they post both positive and negative reviews. I have always kept that in the back of my mind when I am reviewing something, for money or not. So Nate, this is for you.I am always going to be honest about what I am posting. I tried out the personal shopping app Mezi because we thought it would be a great tool to use when I am booking travel for a conference. When I have to book flights for your entire team of 10 and then also book travel for 15 other people, I will use any help I can get! You can put your credit card information into your account and when they find what you are looking for they charge your account using Strip. They will also remember frequent flyer numbers and non-secure information you ask them to remember. Before I started to use Mezi to book travel, I decided to test them. I have been trying to decide which color Hunter rain boots I want to buy. I had a pair of pink ones in my size sitting in my cart on the Hunter website. So I thought this would be a great test for Mezi to see if they could find the same boots at a lower price. Here is what happened:
I screen grabbed the tickets they sent me so you can see them. When I asked for the specific flights, they came back with the cheapest options out there (which happened to be the worst). When I asked for non stop options, things got weird. My phone kept getting notifications that I had received a new message from Mezi but nothing was showing up in the chat window. Then, a non stop itinerary for both flights showed up. I texted Dan to make sure the times worked and we decided they would. When I re-entered the app, the flights were gone. When I asked about it, I was told I was shown those by mistake and there were actually for Panama City, Panama (wrong country). So they had been deleted from the message stream. When I figured out I was spending more time flighting with the app to get the flights I was looking for than I would have just going onto Kayak.com myself, I gave up. It took me a total of 5 minutes to find the flights I needed, book and pay for them. The entire experience with Mezi, as shown on the time stamped messages, took over an hour. So it was a giant waste of time.Consider this your PSA for the day-don't download and use Mezi, it's a waste of time.Breezing Through Blog
