If your makeup is looking uneven, this one is for you! When you are applying any makeup, you want to make sure you have a smooth surface that you are applying on. So exfoliate. Twice a week is recommended, but do what is best for your skin. Some people need to do it every day, others only need to do it once a week.

I like to use a Tinkle Razor on my face a few times a week to help with this problem. It gets the peach fuzz off (we all have it) and it exfoliates all at the same time.

Is your makeup coming off really easily? Do you have naturally oily skin? Then you need these tips!

Spray Maskcara Stay Out There Setting Spray before you apply your makeup. This will give your makeup a base to stay on that is not your oily skin. Figure out what works best for you when it comes to applying your makeup after spraying the Stay Spray. I like to just let it dry before applying my makeup but you can rub it in with your hands or blot it dry with a Perfecter Sponge!

Once you have applied your makeup, blend it using your Perfecter Sponge, sprayed with Stay Spray. Once everything is blended, spray your whole face with Stay Spray again (that is 3 times!). Use Vanilla Setting Powder last on any problem areas.

If all else fails, try a loose translucent powder to help absorb your extra facial oils. Let it set on your skin and “bake” before you brush off the excess powder.

Do you feel like the contour you are using disappears once you put it on your face? Or you have to use A LOT of it to get any kind of color to show up? You may be using the wrong color. This happens, it even happened to me! I was using Walnut as my contour for years. I found that I was using too much of it and I was still not getting the results I wanted. So I switched to Shadow. Now, I only need a little but of contour and I get the results I want!

There are several "highlight" issues you could be having. So let's go through them one by one.

Texture issue. Maybe you feel like the makeup looks clumpy on you or starts to come off after a short period of time. You may think that this is because it is a creme foundation and your skin is either not used to it or it's just not cut out for creme foundation. In reality, you just need a new color. The color you are using isn't the right one so it is not sitting correctly on your skin and looks funny. I know that sounds crazy but it is a thing. Let me know and we can get you the right color! Color issue. Do you feel like you're looking orange or yellow? Yet again, you are having a color issue. You need a different highlight! It is so easy to switch your color, even if you have used it. My number one tip for using the Maskcara Beauty brushes or the Perfecter Sponge is to keep them clean! You can use Dawn Dish Soap and water to wash them every few weeks (you do need to let them dry overnight) or you can use Restore Brush cleaner or Sanitizing Wipes. If you are using Restore or the wipes I would suggest using them once a week on your brushes and perfecter. They are easy to use and dry instantly!
