Kendra Gives Back Event For The Organization For Autism Research
I had the amazing opportunity to help organize a Kendra Gives Back Event for the Organization for Autism Research. For those of you who are unfamiliar with how a Kendra Gives Back Event works, you host an event at a Kendra Scott store and 20% of the sales during the event are donated to a cause. I was able to connect the Reston Town Center location with the Organization for Autism Research and we were able to organize the event.
The Organization for Autism Research (OAR) is a great organization that helps educated those diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder, their families and teachers. They also offer scholarships for higher education. They have offer a vast number of resources and help that I so wish my family and I had access to when I was originally diagnosed. For those of you that are new here, I was diagnosed with ADD when I was 16. You can read more about my diagnosis here, how I cope with my ADD on a daily basis here, and how I have been dealing with it during my pregnancy here.
I am so grateful to everyone that came out and supported us at this event. We raffled off a piece of jewelry that the ladies at the Reston store designed at the Color Bar for anyone that made a purchase of $175 or more. It was so fun and I am incredibly proud to say that we were able to donate money to OAR so they can continue their incredible mission.
