How To Wear Sage to A Wedding
I never had a sister. I am smack in between two brothers and that was probably better considering my personality...but there was always Sydney. My cousin who was a little more than a year older than me and we spent the first few years of our lives inseparable mostly because one of our moms would work and the other would watch us. We fought a lot but always made up. When I went to college, she was at the same school. My second year, we were roommates. The fighting of course got worse at first but after awhile we figured it out and became closer than ever. She was there for my wedding. She was one of the first people I told about the baby. She is the sister I never had.
She got married last month in Utah and had asked me to be in charge of everything the day of the wedding. I figured it wouldn't be too hard, I'd done several conferences, how hard could a wedding be?
Sydney had asked that the girls all wear sage to the wedding. She didn't realize how hard that was going to be. Talking to the other bridesmaids, it was nearly impossible to find something that would work. As you can tell from the pictures, everyone did a pretty good job and looked great! I am wearing a skirt from Show Me Your MuMu and my crop top is from Eliza J. I have a friend that is a stylist (there will be a post about her and her services soon!) and she helped me find the outfit. It turned out to be perfect for a first trimester outfit, it hid everything it needed too and I wasn't uncomfortable at all!
I went into this wedding thinking that once I couldn't do international conferences anymore, I would maybe start doing weddings. How different could they be after all? I am also helping out with my brother's wedding in December. After this wedding though, I have decided I will only do it for family. It just isn't the same and I enjoy conferences a lot more!
I have linked my outfit and some other similar pieces below just in case you are looking for a sage wedding outfit too!
