How To Host A Maskcara Beauty Party | Hosting A Party
I know that a lot of people hate the idea of hosting a direct sales party. You don't want to have to ask your friends to come to something and be expected to be something just so you can get free stuff. I get it. Me too! That is why I love the way that Maskcara Beauty has set up how the hostess perks work. You really have three options when it comes to getting hostess perks and one of them doesn't even involve asking other people to attend a party, online or in person.
So today, I want to share with you the three ways to take advantage of these hostess perks. But first, what are the perks you get? You can see them in the image above but I will explain them here as well!
How To Host A Maskcara Beauty Party | Hostess Perks
When you "host" a party, you will get perks as the hostess depending on how much product is purchased. The awesome thing about these perks is that they can be combined. So you can add your 50% off items to your cart and then use your store credit to pay for the balance. So you can get a bunch of product, FOR FREE! Isn't that awesome?
So, in order to get any kind of reward, your party needs to hit the $200 mark in sales. When you get to that point, you will get 10% in store credit and 1 item at 50% off. That remains your rewards until the party hits the $400 mark. Then you are bumped up to 12% store credit and 2 items at 50% off. At $500, you get 15% store credit and 3 items at 50% off. At $1000, you get 20% in store credit and 4 items at 50% off. The rewards don't increase past the $1000 mark so it is best to close the party off there and start a new one if you will be adding a bunch more sales!
How To Host A Maskcara Beauty Party | In Person
So let's get into the three options for "hosting" a party. The first one is the obvious, in person. I have done only 2 of these because people are busy, including me! But they are a fun way to do a fun get together with friends and show them how the makeup works. If you have been wearing the makeup for awhile, you can even demonstrate it for your friends! An artist will come to your home, bringing the bulk of what you will need for the party. You will need to work out with them all of the details. But I like to bring some treats/snacks, games, prizes and a few non-makeup things to talk about. This keeps it from being a Maskcara Beauty exclusive party.
I personally like to make this kind of party a "treat yourself" or "spa" party. People are much more likely to attend and they will have a lot more fun. I tend to demonstrate how to use the makeup, on a willing participant, and then let people ask questions. I may throw in a few games but other than that, it's really a chance for people to spend time together and ask me questions. I will also do makeovers on anyone who asks! This is a great way to get together with friends without the pressure of a direct sales party.
How To Host A Maskcara Beauty Party | Online
This is a great way to get those hostess rewards if you have lots of Facebook friends/out of town friends that you think would be interested in the makeup. I am actually hosting a party on Facebook right now to celebrate one year of being a Maskcara Beauty artist. I create a Facebook event where the entire party will happen. That way, only the people who want to participate will see it and we won't spam anyone else. As a hostess, all you have to do is invite your friends to the party. It is so easy.
From there, I post videos, pictures, games and fun giveaways. I have found that doing week-long parties is the most effective way to get the most out of the hostess rewards. People are busy and need time to go through all of the posts and participate.
How To Host A Maskcara Beauty Party | Just For You
This is my favorite way to take advantage of the hostess rewards and I have several customers who have this set up. If you plan on buying at least $200 worth of product, EVER, then this is the best thing for you to do. Even if you plan on hosting an in person or online party in the future, you still want to do this.
I will set up a party for you, with your name on it. Whenever you go onto the website to buy something, make sure you use the party drop down menu to select the party with your name on it. So you will be earning those hostess rewards every time you buy something. Which means you are working towards getting free product just from making your own purchases! I will keep you up to date on how your party is down and when you hit milestones. You don't have to invite other people to any kind of party. It's like any other rewards system from Nordstrom or J Crew!
