How To Get the Most Out Of Your Maskcara Makeup
How To Get the Most Out Of Your Maskcara Makeup | Why You Care
Maskcara IIID Foundation is a creme makeup. That means that when you start "scraping tin" as we say, you are going to have a harder time using all of your makeup. When you are highlighting and contouring, it is much better to have a full layer of makeup on the bottom of the tin. So I am going to help you get the most out of your Maskcara makeup.
As you can see from the before pictures, my highlights and contours were getting pretty bare bones. So it was really necessary for me to do this. If you look at the after pictures, you can see that the makeup is distributed more evenly throughout each tin, which is what you want. This is going to help you prolong buying more makeup. You can watch a video of the entire process in the video at the end of the post.
How To Get the Most Out Of Your Maskcara Makeup | Melting Your Makeup
I want you to what? Yes, I want you to melt your makeup. This sounds insane. When I heard it for the first time, I thought it was insane. But it turns out this is a common practice among Maskcara Beauty artists. Most people do the melting on their flat iron and removing the tin with tweezers when it's ready to be removed. I thought about trying that but I am a total klutz and I knew that I would end up burning my fingers and probably my entire hand. So I decided to try it in the oven.
Start off with removing the tins you are going to melt from your compact. I would only suggest doing this with highlight, contour & blush. I have heard that doing this with illuminators can change the consistency of the illuminator. Then turn your oven on to a LOW broil. I found this is the best temperature to work with. Place the tins on a cookie sheet and put the cookie sheet in the oven. DO NOT close the oven door. You don't want to over heat the tins and you need to be able to keep an eye on the consistency of the tins.
Once the makeup starts to melt and spread throughout the tin, remove the cookie sheet from the oven. Removing the tins early is much better than removing them too late. The makeup will continue to melt even after you remove them from the oven. Once the tins have cooled off, put them back in your compact. And you're done!
