How I Use A Medication Organizer to Stay on Top of My Meds

I have a lot of pills I have to take. Between supplements, ADHD medication and more, it can be hard to remember to take them all. I found this awesome four week pill organizer almost a year ago now, and I absolutely love it. I wanted to show you how I refill it every month and why I love it so much!

The great thing about this pill organizer is that it has space for 28 days, so this thing can hold a LOT of pills. At the time of taking these pictures, I didn't have a full month's worth of my ADHD meds, which is why I am only doing a couple of pills here. When that does happen, I still fill all of the other pills, and because they are translucent it is easy for me to see which containers are missing meds. I will add those meds to the containers when I have them so I'm completely good for the month. It's also been great for travel, and the nice thing is the trays pull apart. I can keep three weeks in my bathroom under my sink, and then have one tray on my nightstand so I have it when I need it.

When filling my meds, I add my ADHD meds, my prenatal vitamin (I was still pregnant when I took these pictures), and a supplement called Relora that's really good for low-level anxiety. I've been taking it for five/six years now. It's definitely not something to take in place of prescription anxiety medication, and always talk to your doctor before starting a new medication, but it's really does wonders for me. I also added a set of fiber pills, a probiotic, and an omega-3. Once I've got everything filled, I put them back in the little trays they come in.

A big selling point for me when I was looking for pill organizers something that could get me through a whole month and hold all of my pills in one container for the day. The pill organizer is set up for the morning on one side and the night pills on the other, but I take them all in the morning so it doesn't matter which side they are on. The other nice thing about this set is that every day is different color. So Sundays are red, Mondays are orange, Tuesdays are yellow, Wednesdays are green, Thursdays are blue, Fridays are teal, and Saturdays are purple. One of the downsides of having ADHD is it is easy to forget to take medication. Planning out my pills a month in advance has worked great for me and it helps me to remember to take my meds.
