Georgetown Marriott
When we were in DC, we did spend one night in town so we didn't have to do the commute early in the morning. DC has some of the worst traffic in the country so a 30 mile commute can take at least an hour and a half. We decided not to stay in the Marriott Wardman Park hotel, it was easier and saved on our budget. We instead decided to stay at the Georgetown Marriott. We didn't get to the hotel until after 10 pm, so I didn't get great pictures. I still wanted to share my review of the hotel with you!The lobby of this hotel is beautiful. It was clearly redo recently and has a cool vintage but modern vibe to it. It is perfect for the area and sets a great vibe for the rest of the hotel. Once I got to my room, that vibe was 100% killed. I am not saying the hotel wasn't suitable (I have stayed in much worse places) but the lobby and the rooms in the hotel did not match at all. It was clear that hotel rooms have not received the facelift the lobby had.The room was sufficient and was clean, definitely up to Marriott standards. The one thing I found really strange was the height of the sink! I might be 5'7" but I know I'm not so tall that the sink would seem extra short to me. I had to almost squat to wash my hands...Overall, I wouldn't suggest staying here over another hotel but it's not the worst place to stay in DC!
