Charleston, South Carolina: Meeting Street Inn
When I was looking for a hotel for us to stay in, I tried really hard to find somewhere that was within walking distance of downtown Charleston. When I decided on The Meeting Street Inn, it was mostly because of the great reviews it had on Hotels.com and that it was 0.2 miles away from downtown. When we got to the hotel, there was no visible parking so we pulled into a metered spot just a little up the street from the hotel. Check in was easy and we ran up to our room to drop our stuff. The hotel put us in a corner room on the third floor, which was great! We loved our little room! The decor was very Victorian, sorry I didn't get any pictures of it!Once we put our things in our room, we had to go back downstairs and move our car. The hotel does not have parking close by so you have to park your car and walk back to the hotel. Luckily, there is also a shuttle you can request either to or from you car.The Meeting Street Inn is actually a bed and breakfast so we had a delicious breakfast every morning in this courtyard. The hotel was well maintained and the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel lived up to its reviews and that it was so close to downtown! We were just across the street from the Charleston City Market so we had easy walking access to pretty much everything. Aside from the inconvenient parking, we loved our stay at the Meeting Street Inn and will definitely be back!
