Airplane Etiquette

Airplane Etiquette | Breezing ThroughI feel like this is a topic that I have been meaning to get to but have just been putting off. The last trip I took got me thinking about it some more, so I thought I would share.Leaning Your Seat BackDo you or don’t you, that is the question. My theory is, if there is someone sitting behind you, DON’T DO IT! Unless you are sitting in Economy Plus, then just lean it back a little. I think of it as if someone in front of me was leaning their seat back. No one likes that. You lose leg room and you can’t really get out of your seat without tripping yourself or others.Using the RestroomI feel like I shouldn’t have to talk about this but clearly I do. Seriously people!? Don’t pee on the floor, put the toilet seat and cover down when you flush and leave it that way, drain the water out of the sink, don’t leave trash, and don’t spend 30 minutes in the restroom. The space and time is limited. Others need to use the restrooms. And all of those other things, seriously people!?The Seatbelt SignThere is always that person on the flight. The one that gets up during either take off or landing. Or the one that feels like the turbulence just doesn’t apply to them. The sign is there for a reason. The pilot don’t turn it on to mess with you, or make you get a UTI because you had to wait an extra 10 minutes to use the restroom. I’ve seen people wandering around when the seatbelt sign was on that fell onto other passengers or decided they were going to see how long it was going to take for a flight attendant to ask them to set down.BaggageWhen the airline says two bags, they mean two bags. Don’t be surprised when the people at the gate tell you to either consolidate or check one. Don’t get angry with them, you checked off all of the terms & conditions when you paid for the flight. When you get on the plane, put your bags near your seat, if possible. It makes getting off the plane easier and its polite to the other passengers.Do you have any others to add?Breezing Through Blog
