I wanted to focus on three key pieces in this post. There are lots of items from the sale that are great but I feel like it is best to spend money on basics, things you can wear over and over.

First up, is this Halogen cardigan. I did not buy it this year, but I did buy it last year. In two colors. It has been something I wear on chilly days, when I am traveling, and when I am going to be somewhere cold. It is the perfect length and goes with tops and dresses. I love the colors they have it in this year, especially the pink one!

This top is my favorite item from last years sale and I was thrilled when they brought it back this year! I am loving the colors and patterns they have included this year. It is the perfect top for layering or even wearing alone. It is long enough to wear with leggings but isn't so long that it would be considered a tunic. Last year I only bought it in the burgundy, but this year I have added two more colors to my closet. At $20, it is definitely worth it.

I actually didn't buy these leggings until the Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale. I regret not buying them sooner. They are a little more expensive for leggings, but they are definitely worth it. Now that I have had them for awhile, I can attest to how amazing they are. They have just the right amount of sheen to them, so they don't look too ridiculous. They also wash really well. Mine have been washed dozens of times and they look just like they did when I bought them!
