What I Bought From the 2018 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale | Buying From The Sale

I want to preface this post with saying that you don't have to shop the Nordstrom sale. I post about the sale because it is a great time to stock up on Fall & Winter items and I make the most on commissions during this sale. I will talk more about how that works in a few weeks. So blogging wise, this is a busy and profitable time of the year for me. But I don't buy tons of stuff. I try to only buy items that I can wear over and over and I will use for years. Everything I bought this year, with the exception with one pair of shoes for the Husband, was under $100. So I want to share the items I did buy and some items included in the sale that I already own.

Like I said, I tried my best to stick to basics. I bought the Caslon® Long Sleeve Crewneck Tee last year and loved it so much that I bought it in two more colors this year. This tee is perfect for layering, especially with jackets and sweaters. I also bought two dresses this year. I love this Leith Long Languid Dress, I can wear it now and in the Fall by adding a jacket. The 1901 Knit Midi Dress is so comfy and I can layer it with sweaters and jackets for lots of different looks.

This sale is the perfect time to get a pair of UGG slippers. These UGG® Dakota Bow Slipper are included in the sale and come in 4 colors. I ended up going with the grey for a more neutral color. They are so comfy! I would suggest going up a size if you are between sizes. I also grabbed this Danielle Nicole Nolan Faux Leather Crossbody Bag. I have really been into small crossbody bags recently because I like having something that is smaller than my diaper bags! This bag is adorable, the perfect size and has two closures.

I did end up buying two things for the Husband. He loves his ECCO shoes and the sale is the best time to buy them. He was in need of a new pair of brown ones, so I got him the ECCO 'Windsor' Slip-On. They were the only item over $100 but considering he wears these shoes until they fall apart, it's definitely worth it. I also got him this Nordstrom Men's Shop Newman Reversible Leather Belt. There are several reversible belts included in the sale but this is the least expensive one. The Husband loves reversible belts since they are so versatile.

There are some items included in this sale that I didn't buy this year but I have bought in the past. Since I love them so much, I wanted to make sure I included them in this post.

I bought a similar version of this Swan Bucket Bib last year for Jackie and we have loved it. It is great for a messy baby and I love the section at the bottom for catching food.

The SPANX® Faux Leather Leggings are probably my favorite leggings ever. They hold their sheen and they aren't too shiny, so they don't look too faux leather. They are incredibly comfortable and suck you in, in all the right places.

I bought this Open Front Pocket Cardigan last year in grey and in pink. I LOVE this sweater. I wear both colors all of the time and I would definitely suggest buying at least one color.

I bought this Cashmere Poncho two years ago and I get so much use out of it. It is perfect for days when I just need to throw something on but I still want to look put together. It is just barely under $100 but I personally think it is worth the price tag.

These Nico Supermodel Ankle Super Skinny Jeans are my favorite jeans. I bought them two years ago and I will continue to buy these jeans in the future. They are more than $100 but I wear them constantly when it gets cooler out so they are worth it!

I was introduced to Corkcicle tumblers last Thanksgiving and they are the only tumblers I use now. They keep the contents hot or cold, depending on what you are looking for and the outside of the cup stays the same temperature. I would definitely say that this is worth buying!
