UAE: Jumierah at Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi
For the next two weeks I will be traveling and spending time with family. Luckily, I had these posts sitting in my drafts folder just waiting to be posted! So enjoy my recap of my trip to Abu Dhabi and Dubai last February and I will be back in January with posts of all of our holiday adventures! In February, my mom and I were invited back to Abu Dhabi and Dubai to tour some of Jumeriah hotels and see more of what the United Arab Emirates had to offer for events. Were were flown over by Etihad Airways, always a favorite, and our first stop was the Jumeriah at Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi.I had seen this hotel while driving around Abu Dhabi but had never been inside. We were given lovely rooms towards the top of the building with amazing views of the Persian Gulf. There was a little confusion with our rooms when we got there with our group and we were left to wait in the lobby for about 40 minutes when we arrived. This wasn't a huge deal but when you have been flying for 14 hours, you just want a bed. We ended up with adjoining rooms, my mom's with a queen size bed and mine with two twins. The rooms were beautiful and the beds were so comfortable! I had the most amazing view from my bathtub that I didn't know about until the next morning. You could see both the Emirates Palace Hotel and the Palace of the Crown Prince, which are both stunning. They have a huge conference center which was in use while we were there so we could see how it was set up. The picture above is the ceiling in the pre-function space. This is a lovely hotel and is great for a business meeting. There is a buffet on the lowest level which was like other Emirati buffets, AMAZING! I really don't know why we haven't taken a page from their book here in the US.Over all, I really liked the Jumeriah at Etihad Towers. The rooms were lovely and so was the service. The meeting space is a good size and is great for corporate meetings. If you are looking for a warmer experience, however, I would move on to another hotel.
