To be honest, when Jackie was a newborn, we didn't stick to a schedule. The Husband had 6 weeks of paternity leave so there were some nights where we would be out late visiting family or getting food and Jackie wouldn't go to bed until almost midnight. She was still sleeping most of the day though so I wasn't too worried about it. But in order to get her into a routine and sleeping through the night, we started a bedtime routine that we have stuck with since.

We start winding down around 7. Every other night this is when we give Jackie a bath. On nights that we don't do a bath, we play hide and seek or read books. By 8, we settle onto the couch and watch a few of Jackie's favorite YouTube videos. These are usually classical music or opera videos. Sometimes, she will even start singing. It is the sweetest thing. Jackie is in bed before 9 every night. Some times it's 8:30, other times it is 9. It depends on how tired she is.

I don't hide my love for Hanna Andersson or their PJs! You often see Jackie wearing their clothes and she almost exclusively sleeps in their pjs. A family friend gave us a pair of the pima organic cotton infant pjs as a baby shower gift and we were hooked. I bought those jammies in every size until Jackie grew out of them. Now we have moved onto the toddler and older girl sizes for her.
