One Year of Hello Fresh | 52 Weeks of Prepped Meals

One year of Hello Fresh! I want to start off by mentioning that this post is NOT sponsored. I would love for it to be, but it's not. We have used Hello Fresh since after Jackie was born (so more than a year now) but I wanted to wait to do a review until we had done 52 weeks of meals. When we first started doing this, I was only going to do them a few times a month and when we needed the meals. But there were so many upsides to getting the boxes for us, I decided to stick to getting the box every week unless we knew that we didn't need it that week.

We have the 3 meals a week for 2 people plan. This gives us plenty of food every week and we always have left overs. This allows The Husband to have a yummy lunch to take to work the next day.

One Year of Hello Fresh | Making Meals Gluten Free

Not all of the meals are gluten free. Most of them are not. But there are always options every week that I can alter to be gluten free. The taco meals come with flour tortillas. I keep corn tortillas in our fridge so I just replace my tortillas with the corn ones. If quinoa is included in the recipe, I replace it was rice. It's probably not exactly the same as the original recipe but it works for us. We haven't had any issues altering anything in the last year so I would definitely say you have options. All allergens are listed with each meal so you know what you are getting.

One Year of Hello Fresh | How It's Changed Dinner Time

The Husband and I both work out of the house every day so coming home and having to figure out dinner is not something I want to have to deal with. The Hello Fresh boxes have made dinner really easy. Everything we need is included in the box and all we need to do is follow the directions. The Husband even likes to make dinner now too. He has always said that he didn't like to cook because he wasn't confident in his skills.

The directions for these meals are so easy. And there are step by step pictures so you don't lose your way. There are days where he gets home from work before I do and he will get dinner ready. We have tried a few other meals boxes and Hello Fresh has the best directions for their recipes. Dinner gets done faster so we get to spend more time together has a family in the evenings.

One Year of Hello Fresh | Get Your First Box for $20

So if you do the classic plan, like we do, the box is $59.99 a week. If you haven't tried Hello Fresh before and you want to try it, you can use my link to get $40 off your first box! Full disclosure, I get $20 in credit if you use my code. The nice thing is that you can use my code, get your box for $20 and then cancel if you don't want to keep getting the boxes! You don't sign a contract or pay per month. It's pay per box. So you do buy them when you need them.
