Maskcara IIID Foundation Review
I have been following Cara's blog, Maskcara, for over a year now. One of my friends introduced her HAC concept to me and showed me her first line of makeup. I then kept up with her blog and waited for her second line of makeup to come out. So in January when she launched IIID Custom Pallete and IIID Foundation Brush, I knew it was time to try it.
I was hoping my pallet would arrive before we left for Jordan but it didn't come until a week after we got back. But I have now had some time to use the makeup and travel with it some and I LOVE IT! Having all of my makeup in one slim compact makes packing my makeup 10 times easier! It takes up so little space that I have room for so much more stuff!
I decided the best way to show you how this makeup works it by showing you how I look before I apply it and then going through the steps of apply it. So first, here I am without foundation. I have done my eyebrows and eyes. Those are not shadows around my eyes and I have not been in a fight recently. I have been blessed with my dad's bone structure which means I constantly look like I have black eyes. THANK YOU MAKE UP!
Following Cara's HAC steps, I start out with the bigger end of the brush using the contour foundation, I use the Walnut shade. I apply it using the brush on my forehead, under my cheeks bones, along my jaw line and on the sides of my nose.

I then use the smaller side of the brush for the highlighter, I use Linen, to go under my eyes, down the center of my nose, under my nose and my chin.

Then back to the big side of the brush so I can add the blush, I use Pink Grapefruit.

Final step is to blend and blend and blend. Lots of blending!
After I add my maskara, I always add some of my favorite setting spray. Urban Decay All Nighter helps my make up stay in place all day!

And then I am done! I love how this make up sits on my face. I really don't feel like I am wearing makeup and it stays put the ENTIRE day! As you can tell from the pictures, I am running out of my highlighter so I am going to have to order some soon! The brush is exclusive to to Maskcara cosmetics. Cara did an incredible job designing this brush. It is easy to use and reduces the number of brushes you need!
Just for comparisons sake, here is a before and after:
