If you happen to be in Southern Illinois, or Western Kentucky, you need to go out of your way to Kratzinger Hollow. It's tucked back off of a state road and is the location of a restaurant, wedding venue and bed and breakfast. Since we were already in town for a family reunion, we didn't stay at the bed and breakfast. But we decided to head to the restaurant, The Blue Boar for lunch one day, after we went to a pumpkin patch.

I love the scenery around the restaurant. It was fun to explore after we ordered our food. The interior of the restaurant is decorated with hunting trophies. Lots of different animals hang on the walls and it was fun for the girls to go around and see them all. There were tons of options on the menu, even for my younger cousins who are both very picky eaters. Paris and I shared the Big Ole' Pork Chops. I am so glad that we did, because they were HUGE!

I would highly recommend going to The Blue Boar if you are in the area and have the time. The food is good and it is really a fun experience.
