How to Get Heatless Curls
It took me a long time to figure out how to curl my hair. When I was younger, I could never get my hair to hold a curl so I started getting it chemically straightened in high school and just kept doing that in college. One of my roommates would curl my hair in college sometimes but it never lasted very long.
A few years ago, I finally found a curling iron and products that worked to help me curl my hair. The problem is that it takes forever because my hair is so thick and I usually have to re-curl it on the second day.
When I was approached by Savvy Curls to review one of their convertible wraps, I figured it would be a great way to curl my hair without having to spend an hour on it in the morning. Having longer, layered hair the convertible wrap was the better option for me.
I will be honest with you, I had to watch the instructional videos several times and it took me three full attempts to actually get this result! But once I got the hang of it, I was in love! This is a great way to curl your hair when traveling, especially when you are on a work trip. I always find I am rushing around and don't have time to curl my hair on work trips so I am excited to use this more in the future. Here are a few tips I discovered from using the Convertible Wrap:
1) Use mousse! I tried to do it with no mousse and with mousse and there is a reason they say you need to use the mousse. It will help your curls last longer.
2) You don't have to wear it to bed. If you want your hair curled for a special occasion over the weekend, you can get up in the morning, put your hair up and leave it like that all day. It will still work.
3) Don't do it on freshly washed hair. I found that when I used the wrap on 2nd or 3rd day hair it worked better.
