Florida: Thunderstorm

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that two weeks ago I went on a last minute trip to help out running an exhibition booth at an event in Florida. Florida is one of my favorite places in the US, although no one in my family agrees with me! I am one of the rare people that loves how warm and humid it gets there. I also love the thunderstorms that occur almost every day in the summer!We flew down to Jacksonville and then drove the 40 minutes in Amelia Island, where the event was being held.We ran around picking up all of our last minute items and then spent the night in a Marriott Courtyard. We were out the door pretty quickly the next morning and made our way to the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort. We had to wait until noon to begin set up and we could not check into our rooms until 3 pm. We had plenty of time to set up the exhibition booth and explore the property a little. I wandered down to the pool area just as a huge Floridian storm was rolling in over the ocean. I got some amazing shots! There was a lot of thunder and lightening, I am bummed I didn't catch any of it, so I got as far away from the water as I could. You can't see them in the pictures, but there was a family that was swimming in the ocean during this storm- not the safest way to spend your vacation!Don't forget to enter the giveaway to win two Julep nail polishes!
