Favorite Tile Mat Designs

DIY

I have been doing tile mat designs for several years now. I decided to share with you some of my favorite tile mat designs I have done over the years.

Favorite Tile Mat Designs | Pac-Man Ghosts

First up are the Pac-Man style ghost tile mats. I've done this design in both a gradient blue and a gradient pink. For the blue one I used Cloud, Aqua Lagoon, Glacial Blue, and Atlantic Blue. I'm not really fan of decorating with orange when it comes to Halloween, but I still like decorating for Halloween. I like that these designs are something fun and definitely Halloween themed, but in a non-traditional color variation.

For the pink version of the Pac-Man ghosts I used Cloud, Cherry Blossom, Raspberry Sorbet, and Sugar Plum. Now, I will say, as I have used Raspberry Sorbet and Sugar Plum over the years and they've been exposed to sunlight, they have both faded to almost the same color so be aware of that when you're using these colors.

Favorite Tile Mat Designs | Snowflakes

Up next is the snowflake design. I have done so many different Christmas and winter themed designs, but this specific snowflake design is my absolute favorite. I liked incorporating the different blue tiles that I have. I used Glitter Teal, Glacial Blue, Atlantic Blue and Cloud for the varying snowflakes. I just really like how it turned out, it's my favorite for the winter holidays.

Favorite Tile Mat Designs | New Years Count Down

Last year I did a set of New Year's designs, which I've never done before. I came up with a New Years countdown design where I counted down from 10 to zero, alternating between spelling out the numbers and the numbers. I really like how it looked, it was just very unique and it took up the entire mat. I've never seen anything like it before and I actually might replicate for 2025!

Favorite Tile Mat Designs | Americana Flowers

For the warmer months, I did this Americana design with red, white, and blue flowers with alternating white and blue centers. I did a very similar design in 2023, but I didn't have any centers in them because I wasn't quite confident enough in my design ability then. When I put in the centers this year, I absolutely love how it turned out. I used Poppy, Cloud and Glacial Blue as the flowers and the centers are Cloud and Glacial Blue.

Favorite Tile Mat Designs | Floral Gradient

Now, as you can tell with the Americana flowers, I really like making flowers on my tile mat. I just think they look so good. In spring of 2023, I came up with this idea of doing florals all over the mat. My first try I did with this design I created a kind of floral drape on the mat. I used a variety of different colors, but it wasn't exactly what I wanted or envisioned so I kept redesigning it.

In 2024, I came up with this idea of doing kind of a horizontal floral arrangement on the mat. I kept perfecting it and feel like I really did for summer 2024. I did the flowers in a gradient so that the colors on the diagonal are all the same color family; all the pinks are together, the purples are together, the blues are together, etc. For this design I used Fog, Atlantic Blue, Evergreen, Cinnamon, Sugar Plum, Lilac, Carnation Pink, Sunflower, Wild Plum, Rose Gold, Pink Glitter, Gold Glitter, Aqua Lagoon, Cherry Blossom, Mistletoe, Tropical Teal, Gold, Teal Glitter, Raspberry Sorbet, Sand Castle, Glacial Blue, Holly Berry, and Spring Green tiles. I seriously love how it turned out!

I will miss designing these while we're in Argentina, but hopefully it gives you some inspiration. Let me know which one of my tile mat designs is your favorite and which ones I need to work on a little bit more on and stay tuned for more in 2025!
