My Favorite Purchases of 2019 | 2019 Purchases

2019 is coming to an end so I thought it would be fun to round up my favorite purchases from the year so you can see what I loved and why. Maybe this post will help you make a decision if you are looking into buying one or more of these items.

I have linked all of the items discussed in this post at the bottom so you can easily shop them. I have also linked any blog posts that these items were included in so you can reference those as well!

My Favorite Purchases of 2019 | Beauty

Let's start with my favorite beauty products of the year. There are lots of products that I tested out or added to my routine this year but there are a few that stand out.

First up, we have the Tula Blurring Primer. I had heard about it for a few months before I actually decided to buy it. I have tried lots of different primers and none of them have done much for my skin. I have very fair skin which can be red and splotchy at times. The thing I love about this primer is that it evens out your skin tone while also keeping your makeup on ALL DAY LONG. I have gotten a few other people hooked on this and some of them use it instead of makeup. Then there is the RCMA No Color Powder. It is very hard to beat the price tag. For $19, you get 3 ounces of powder that goes a VERY long way. You can read more about my love for the Tula Primer and the RCMA No Color Powder here.

You may not consider a pill case a beauty item but it is in my mind and I am the one doing the categorizing. This pill case will fit directly in your purse, lunchbox, or workbag without taking up a ton of space. There are a bunch of compartments so you can divide items by type or even day if you want! You can read more about this awesome pill case here.

If you have been following this blog for the last few months, you have seen me do my hair with this deep waver. While it may give you some 80s hair vibes but I feel like you can use it for a beachy wave look without going over the top. You can read more about why I love the deep waver here.

My Favorite Purchases of 2019 | Electronics

Let's move on to electronics. I feel like we made some major electronics purchases this year and I want to review a few of them for you.

I don't think I can fully explain to you how much I love our Roomba. The Husband named it Waffles, since he says it's our dog. Jackie loves to chase it around and turn it on and off. You can schedule it run on certain days at specific times. While it does need to be emptied more than the typical vacuum, it works by itself so how can you beat that? You can read more about why we love our Roomba here.

I have a Mac laptop and I have for years. The newer Apple laptops have USBC ports instead of USB or other ports. In order to get the most out of my lap tops I purchases this USBC Hub. This is much better than the Apple version I had previously purchased and it is MUCH cheaper!

For Mother's Day this year, I got an Apple Watch. I knew a few people who had one and I did my research before I actually decided which one I was going to get. I ended up getting the Series 4 GPS 44mm watch. I love the size of the face and how it fits on my wrist. I have always loved large watches though so that could just be me. While this watch only works when on WiFi or within close range of my phone, it has been my favorite purchase of the year. It really proved it's worth a few weeks ago when I got new phone. My old phone got stuck in a rebooting cycle that didn't allow me to restart it, or anything else for that matter. My phone stayed like this for an ENTIRE WEEK. Even the people at the T Mobile store couldn't get it to respond. But during the entire time, my watch was still connecting to my other devices. I could text and receive calls on my watch. If you are thinking about getting an Apple Watch, I couldn't recommend it more.

Wireless headphones are all the rage right now. Most people don't want to spend the money on a set of Airpods so which headphones are actually worth buying? I did a bunch of research and decided on this pair. I have been using them for 6 months now and I love them! You can wear each earbud individually or together and the sound quality is really good. They charge in the little case that I typically only have to charge once a week. You can also take calls on them!

My Favorite Purchases of 2019 | Baby

There is only one product that made it into this post that would be under the Baby section. I have been talking non stop about this crib tent since we bought it earlier this year. Jackie wasn't quite 2 when we bought it but she had climbed out of her crib for the first time. We weren't ready to move her to a toddler bed, for lots of reasons, so I did some research and found this. The nice thing is that it goes under the crib mattress and also ties to the outside of the crib. It unzips on both sides so you don't have to worry about which way to install it. We have loved this thing from day one. I have had people tell me that it is dangerous and I shouldn't be using it (all of them on the internet). It is a mesh tent that is 100% breathable. Jackie is 100% safe in it. She is much safer because she can't climb out of her bed and hurt herself and we are just not ready for a toddler bed, for lots of reasons.

We have loved this so much that we bought a second one for my parent's house so Jackie can have one when she naps there and we bought the pack n play version of it too. We have used that version on 3 different kinds of pack n plays and it worked on all of them! You can read more about the crib tent here.

My Favorite Purchases of 2019 | Jewelry

There is a lot of jewelry that I bought this year that I loved. But there is one that item I have bought several times, in several colors, that I want everyone to know about. The Mini Alidia Ring from Baublebar has been such a favorite that I own four different versions of it. I have 3 different color ways and then one of the twisted versions. While the ring is a but more expensive, I always wait for it to go on sale!
