I know that deep wavers can be intimidating. They have become more popular in the last few months, but not in the same way they were back in the 80s. We aren't going for a crimped look here. You want softer waves that will last awhile. The nice thing about using a deep waver is you don't have to do a ton of touch ups. I have found that I can go 2-3 days without having to touch any pieces up.
I usually use the deep waver on my hair on about day 3 or 4 of dirty hair. This helps with it lasting longer, and I can get my hair to last almost a week between washes.
