Charleston, South Carolina: The Beach
One of the days we were in Charleston, we were able to go to Sullivan's Island, which I had read was something you have to do when you are there. It was about a 30 minute drive to the beach from our hotel. It was a beautiful day, until we got out to the beach! It was really windy, I couldn't keep my hat on and doing anything on the beach was pretty much pointless. We did find the old lighthouse though which made the Husband really happy! You can see the loose sand blowing over the wet sand.I was able to gather a few shells. I loved this one, but a crab was hiding from the birds in it so I decided to leave it on the beach (didn't love that). I did find quiet a few large seashells that I haven't had much luck finding anywhere else.
