So these pictures are from June. I have been holding off on publishing this post so that I was ready to talk about it when it went live.

I have always struggled with my weight. You can read all about my wheat allergy diagnosis and how it impacted my weight here. After I had been off of wheat for about 4 years, I finally felt like I was the size I was supposed to be. WhileI did go through phases of not liking where I was weight wise, I have always been comfortable with my body. I am where I am and there is nothing wrong with that. But after struggling with my weight and going from fairly thin to very overweight and then back again, in a short period of time, I was happy with the thinner frame I had settled into.

When I was pregnant with Jackie, I didn't focus too much on my weight gain. I was thrilled that I wasn't sick like my mom and everyone was glad I was eating at all. My doctors weren't worried about my weight gain, so I wasn't either. After I gave birth, I dropped a lot of the pregnancy weight quickly. But there was that pesky 15 pounds that wouldn't go away. My motivation to lose that weight was not from any pressure I felt from anyone or from social media. I just wanted to fit back into my old clothes.

My recovery was difficult between the tear I had during delivery and the amount of blood I lost. I didn't do anything other than short walks those first 6 weeks, and I was ok with that. So I slowly got back into my old routine. We walked almost every day and I eventually got the strength back that I had before I was pregnant. Now, almost 5 months later, I am back in the clothes I was wearing in Poland last year!

I wish I could say that I went on some amazing diet or I have been doing a great work out routine. I am busy. With a full time job, an infant, and moving, I don't have time for that! My biggest advice? Love the body you have, no matter what the shape or size. It is the only body you have!

Our Outfits

These leggings from Albion Fit are my life. You can read all about why I use them and how they have helped me here. My shoes are probably the ones I wear the most when I am running around or exercising. Jackie's onesie was a gift from a work client. I was working closely with a group of women, who knew I was having a baby soon. My dad was visiting their offices and they had this adorable onesie made for her! It says #BOSSBABE on the front and has our company logo on the back. It was such a sweet gift!
