2019 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Early Access Top Picks | The Sale
I know that there is a lot of debate this year about The Nordstrom Anniversary sale. It gets overblown and hyped up and then items sell out and people feel like they HAVE to buy things.
The sale has become this huge event every year because bloggers get paid commissions from the links they post. Nordstrom is one of the higher paying commission companies so it's a big opportunity for bloggers. Smaller bloggers, like myself, feel like they have to spend tons of money for products they aren't going to use, just so they can keep up with the content overload.
I've talked about this before this year, but I am trying to be more intentional about what I am buying and what is going into my closet. I have to LOVE it before it stays. And I am going into this sale with the same mindset. I plan on sharing items that I have bought in the past and loved and what I am buying this year. I will also share some of your most requested items because, well you asked! But I won't be telling you that you have to buy anything and I hope you see this as a helpful guide during the sale!

Ok, so let's talk about some of my favorite pieces that I would honestly buy over and over again!
First up are the Spanx Faux Leather Leggings. These showed up a few years ago in the Anniversary Sale and I passed on them. I didn't think I would wear them and I didn't think they would look that good. I finally decided to give them a try in November of that year and I can't believe I waited so long! I've now had these leggings for almost two years and they have help up incredibly well. When I am paying that much money for a pair of leggings, I have pretty high expectations for how they are going to perform. All I have to say is those expectations were met and exceeded. After two years of wear, they look just like they did when I bought them and they still have the same amount of elasticity. They are high-waisted so they hold everything in and made your legs look amazing. I'm actually going to get a second pair of these this year because I love them so much and they are often in the laundry in the cooler months. Pro tip for washing: wash them inside out and lay flat to dry!

Next up are these rag & bone jeans. I have a love hate relationship with jeans, especially over the last 18 months. Post surgery, pants were uncomfortable for a while. Then they were ok. And now with my protruding screw, they are out again. But no matter what, these jeans are my go to. I bought them through a Trunk Club order a few years ago and I reach for them all of the time in my closet. You can roll up the cuffs or keep them unrolled. They have help up really well over the last 3 years and they wash great as well. They are the perfect almost boyfriend jeans I have found. While they are a bit pricey, good jeans tend to be, sadly. I would say they are 100% worth the investment though if you are looking for a good pair of jeans.

I will be honest, I have now owned 4 pairs of Hunter boots. That is ridiculous, I know. But last year, I sold three of my pairs and bought one pair of the packable rain boots to replace them. Best decision ever. These boots are truly packable and easy to take in a suitcase. They roll up so you could even through them in a tote! I bought a matte light pink pair because that is exactly what I wanted. They come in both matte and gloss this year in the sale and considering they are $100, I think that is a good buy!

I have bought this cardigan two years in a row now during the Anniversary sales. It is comfy, cute and has pockets. Luckily it is not as expensive as the other items I am talking about today so you don't have to feel like you are splurging. You may look at this cardigan and wonder what is so amazing about it and why in the world I have two of them! It's a medium weight, so you really can wear it on cool summer evenings or late into the fall with a long-sleeved shirt underneath. It has held up SO WELL when washed. I usually grab one of these when I am traveling so they get pretty beat up. I've had blow outs happen on these cardigans and they are in excellent shape, even after all of the washing. They haven't piled at all and they have maintained their shape too!

If you haven't picked up on my love for Kendra Scott, you haven't been paying attention. I feel like they added some incredible pieces to the sale this year, many of which are from their new fall collection. Luckily these are not as big of an investment as some of the other items I have talked about but they are really good deals so I felt like I had to share! These hoop earrings caught my eye when they were released earlier this week and I am thrilled they are included in the sale!
