We spent a lot of time in Old Town Warsaw. While it is called Old Town, this part of the city really is a lot newer than you would expect. During World War II, Warsaw was destroyed. The people of the city were devastated that this historic part of the city was destroyed and gathered together after the war and rebuilt the buildings using old paintings and writings.

There was one building that was no destroyed during the war. The Hotel Bristol was used by the occupying German troops as a base. They loved the building and spent a lot of time in it so it was protected from any damage.
