If you have been following along for awhile, you know that I am a sucker for a good knit dress, especially when I travel and even more especially in the summer! I get a lot of questions about where I get my dresses. I typically link all of my dresses on Instagram via Liketoknow.it but I wanted to share with you a few of my favorite places to find cute knit dresses that won’t break the bank.
Today I am 25…a quarter of a century! I am not one to spend lots of time on my birthday so let’s talk about this summer instead! I feel this summer flew by and so much happened! Sometimes I feel like summer needs to be a few months longer so I can cram in just a little more fun. Does anyone else feel that way? Instead of trying to cram more into summer, I am going to just extend it into September. We have a wedding and a beach trip to look forward to next month and I couldn’t be more excited!
When I first found this skirt, I didn’t know exactly how I was going to style it. On a whim I put this top with it and I knew it was perfect! It is the perfect outfit for summer, light and airy.

I have to have a physical planner. As a millennial (disgusted face) I know it’s so bizarre that I don’t keep everything on my phone. One of the things I have learned about my ADHD is that I need to have everything written down in order for me to get it done. To Do lists are my jam. Everything is color coded based on what the task is related to – i.e. work, blogging, personal to do. You can read more about how I organize/use my planner here.
I have been buying the same kate spade new york planner for the last two years. I love the 17-month lay out and how much I could put in on one day. That is until this year when kate spade released these GIANT planners. I waffled back and forth a little bit before I decided that I was going to try it out. I figured that if it was too big when it arrived, I would just send it back. It turns out I fell in love with this large planner. It is the size of a notebook I used in college but I love how much I can put in each day and how much more organized I am with it. I can literally write EVERYTHING down and I don’t have to add any sticky notes or pieces of paper when I run out of space (because I won’t).
I am so excited to share this dress with you all from Sister Missionary Mall. I am always looking for dresses that are long enough but are also cute and something I would be willing to wear. I love that this one is perfect for Fall but is also absolutely darling! This is the Jenni Dress in white floral. I threw this dress in a bag to take with me to Florida and it traveled perfectly. I pulled it out of my suitcase and didn’t have to steam it at all. We are currently in Florida, attending a conference. On Monday evening we drove into Fernandina Beach and ate at Brett’s right on the water. The food was amazing, but the view was the best part! You can walk right out onto the pier and watch the sunset. It turned out to be a beautiful evening.
I know that a lot of you don’t live in Ashburn but I also know that there are some of you that do! I wanted to share some of my favorite places to eat in Ashburn that are great for both gluten- free and regular options. I feel like Ashburn is so big, people don’t know about all of the incredible food options, because there are a lot of them. So here are my 4 favorites, in no particular order:
