I love no-iron shirts. The Husband likes no-iron shirts. You should always gift a no-iron shirt!
If you are shopping for a traveler, a good pair of Bose headphones are a good go to. You can’t go wrong with a pair of these!
I always find that men are harder to shop for. They don’t usually have a lot of things that they want but they are also very picky, at least the men in my life are! There is always the option of a good book but there are too many to pick from so I left that option off of my list.
Cold weather items like these gloves are a cold weather must. My mom bought the Husband a pair of gloves like these 3 years ago and he loved them. He was devastated when he lost them on the train a few weeks ago!
These last two may be my favorite. I love giving cuff links as gifts, especially personalized ones. I think it adds a touch of elegance to an already dressed up look. The Husband has a small watch obsession. It matches my purse addiction so it evens out. He is very picky about watches and insists that this one is a really good one for the price!
I realized a few weeks ago that winter was coming and my pjs didnt fit. Most things don’t fit now but I’m adapting.
So I went on a hunt for some new pjs that would work. Did you know that finding cute maternity PJs is pretty much impossible!? Luckily for all of you, the ones I found are just regular pjs that I sized up so they would fit. My go to lance for pjs is H&M. They are soft, not too warm and also a good price point. I know have this set of pjs in three different patterns. I put them in as soon as I get home from work most days.
I chose this set for this post because 1)Christmas is coming! and 2) I love where Santa’s beard hits on the baby bump. You can shop all of my favorite sets in the widget below.
Since it is Cyber Monday, I have rounded up all of the amazing sales going on on the Cyber Monday Page

I think this is my favorite gift guide, but then again I am in this stage of life.
I can’t say enough about this pillow. I was luckily enough to have a friend pass along her pregnancy pillow that she never used so I didn’t have to buy one. But I love this thing. I use it so much that The Husband has given it a nickname, Lars. I don’t know where he got it but he thinks it’s funny.
I constantly have a tumbler with me. I try really hard to drink my 2 liters of water each day. I couldn’t do it without a tumbler. I love the ones from Kate Spade, but Starbucks has awesome ones too!
I know so many women whose temperatures increase when they are pregnant. I feel like mine has decreased. I am still as cold as I have always been and therefore I can’t go a day without fuzzy socks or snug house shoes.
Comfy shoes have been key for me, especially lately. I noticed a week or so ago that my boots were making my feet hurt and ankles swell. So I have picked up a few more pairs of sneakers to make sure I’m comfy. I LOVE these. They are perfect for the winter and so very pink.
I can’t say enough how much I love Tula products. I am doing a full blog post on it soon but for now, if you have an expecting mother on your list this year, get her this set of Tula products. She will love you forever!
There is nothing like a good maternity bra. I put it off for as long as possible, which looking back was really dumb. This set of two from H&M are amazing. I am also loving these pjs from H&M. While they aren’t maternity, if you go up two sizes they might as well be!
This is my top stroller pick. I am obsessed with it. I have done a lot of research and read a lot of reviews. This is one of the better multi-child strollers and will be awesome when I have more kids. I wanted to make sure that I had one that I be able to use for several kids and that came with lots of accessories. This stroller comes with everything picture so that’s a win in my book! I am also in love with this carseat. Of course it is the same brand as the stroller but it is part of the travel system so that is perfect!

I can’t believe I am already this far along, more than half way! This little one is very stubborn and is very much like both her mom and her dad. Funny story: We went for the mid-pregnancy Ultrasound at 18 weeks. Baby had been moving around a lot at that point so I figured they wouldn’t have a problem getting all of the measurements they needed. Of course, because all we wanted was for her to move around, she stayed curled up in a ball the entire time. Which was almost an hour. Three tries later, I was told I should come back in a few weeks to try again. Luckily, when I went back last week at 20 weeks, she was much more cooperative and they got all of the measurements they needed. I am so glad we did the gender Ultrasound at 16 weeks because it would have driven me crazy not finding out at the 18 weeks Ultrasound!
How Far Along: 21 weeks according to the last due date I was given. During the mid-pregnancy Ultrasound last week though they told me baby Girl is measuring at 21 weeks so she would be 22 weeks now. I’ve learned this whole due date and weeks measurement thing are very fluid.
Food Cravings: My food cravings have not been weird, just very specific. I went through about a three week phase where all I wanted was Kraft Mac and Cheese. Luckily the cheese sauce packets are wheat free so I would buy boxes of Mac and Cheese and then buy a box of gluten free pasta elbows. The other night I wanted Outback Steakhouse’s cheese fries. And then on Sunday I wanted the sandwich I ate from Five Loaves Cafe in Charleston. My cravings normally come around dinner time or at 10 pm. I don’t crave sweets like I did pre-pregnancy but I will eat something sweet every now and then.
Baby Gender: Girl! You can read more about how we shared the news with our families here.
Baby Name: We do have a name for her and have been telling our families and friends. I think I’ll keep it off of the Internet and social media until she arrives though!
Baby Movement: Baby Girl is a serious mover. I felt her move for the first time around 16 weeks and The Husband was able to feel her move for the first time around 19 weeks. Sugar gets her going a lot and she likes to stretch out and kick and punch at the same time. It was so weird the first time she did that but I love it. She moves a lot in the morning, at night and pretty much any time I am siting still.
Sleep: I have been generally be sleeping really well. I can sleep all the way through the night again, which is a big step from waking up around 3 am needing to pee every night! I am obsessed with my pregnancy pillow, which helps me sleep on my sides instead of my back.
Maternity Clothes: I wear exclusively maternity pants/leggings and have a few maternity shirts. I have tried to just buy oversized sweaters that I can wear again next winter when I’m not pregnant. I now have three maternity dresses, all from Pink Blush.
Weight Gain: I’ve gained about 5 pounds so far. I feel like it is MUCH more but I think that’s how most pregnant women feel!
What I’ve Purchased: Once I found out we were having a girl, I kinda went crazy buying her little outfits. I usually find cute little things on H&M, Zulilly or in the clearance section at Target. I have bought a rug for her nursery and some moccasins for her. I’m waiting until after the holidays to really focus on getting her nursery put together since I have to get the office cleared out first to make room for said nursery. I am planning on buying her stroller this weekend with all of the amazing sales happening. If I do find a good deal on it, I will be sure to share it with you all!
I am obsessed with this dress. I was really excited when Pink Blush reached out to me about a collaboration because I had already bought two of their dresses and loved them. Like I said in the maternity clothes section, I haven’t bought a ton of dresses yet but the ones I have so far are amazing. I love that they don’t necessarily look like maternity dresses and that they will work with my growing baby bump. The print on this dress is so bright and happy and I think it’s perfect for these cooler almost winter days.
I am so excited that to be teaming up with PinkBlush to give away a $75 gift card to their store. They have some amazing maternity clothes and regular size options. Use the rafflecopter below to enter and head over to my Instagram for an extra entry! The giveaway will run from today until midnight on November 30. The giveaway is open to the US only. Good luck!
There are so many options for what to wear for Thanksgiving. Everyone has different traditions and therefore different dress codes. I love this look because it is so easy to dress up or down. Lately, I have been wearing lots of sneakers because they don’t make my ankles swell like all of my boots do (insert monkey covering eyes emoji here). These suede shoes form UGG are some of my new favorites. They are incredibly comfy and easy to wear all day. For those of you that aren’t pregnant or want to dress up this look, you can add boots or booties and have a very polished look.
This year for thanksgiving, my family is going out to dinner. If you don’t know about my family’s thanksgiving traditions you can read more about the way we do it here. We do still cook turkey, potatoes, stuffing and all of the other good stuff but not usually on thanksgiving day. I feel like this is a lot less stressful and I don’t feel as obligated to eat as much!
What are your thanksgiving traditions?
I want to start off by saying that this post is NOT sponsored. These are just all things I think would make great gifts for your best friends, or even something to put on your own list. I have tried every single one of these items, so they all come highly recommended.
There is nothing better than a pair of comfy/cozy holiday PJs. I have had to search high and low for ones that will work during second and third trimesters, and H&M has an excellent selection for a good price point!
You can’t go wrong with Kendra Scott. There are so many options and literally anyone can wear her pieces and it will still look classic. Paris bought my 4 year old cousin a charm necklace that she loves and my grandmother bought herself a Raina necklace that she wears all of the time. I love the variety of Kendra Scott and the pieces last!
If you have been following my social media and this blog long enough, you already know about my obsession with Kaitlin Kendall Designs. I love the quality of Kat’s bows and she is always coming up with something new and different. She is also very open to custom orders, so don’t be afraid to reach out to her!
I love my mugs from Ashley Brooke Boutique. She has the two shorter ones in stock but the other two were custom made. Another great place to get something unique for your best friend that no one else will have!
I decided early on in this pregnancy that while I always wanted to be comfortable, I would not sacrifice my style. I am very picky about my clothes and I refused to just wear work out clothes for my pregnancy (no judgement if that is what you did/are doing, I get it they are comfy!). I bought a pair of faux leather leggings from H&M a few years ago and I wear them every Winter (they are fleece lined so they get too hot during any other time of the year). I was so excited when I saw that H&M had a maternity pair of faux leather leggings. I knew that would be easy to wear, style and I would be comfy when I wore them. They are so easy to pair with a longer sweater and I love them with these boots. I found these boots at Forever 21 and I have been obsessed with them since I pulled them out of the box. They are comfy and have not lost their shape and the best part? They are under $50!! You can shop the entire look in the widget below.
I am so excited to announce that we are expecting a girl!!
I am much to impatient to have waited to find out the sex of this baby. I wanted to know the minute I found out we were expecting. So we went to an ultrasound place nearby that guarantees the sex of the baby at 14 weeks. It was actually a really nice experience. We only wanted to see the baby in 2D, I am not a fan of how the 3D and 4D images look (kinda creepy). The staff was running a little behind so when it was finally our turn, they were really great with us and did a few extra 3D images and even gave us a recording of the heart beat. This little girl is a stubborn one. She is very active, constantly kicking and moving around. She was not willing to cooperate at first when the tech tried to get the images. Eventually little one cooperated and we were able to see that she is definitely a she! We did also have the mid-pregnancy anatomy ultrasound recently, which again confirmed that its a girl.
We wanted to tell all of the families at the same time, which was complicated since we live near my family, my brother lives in Utah and The Husband’s family live in Montana and Idaho. We gathered everyone together after the ultrasound at my parent’s house to surprise them. Since we already knew, I stuffed a piñata full of pink candy. We got all of the Husband’s family together on Google Hang Outs. I wish we had gotten pictures but we were so caught up in getting everyone together and on chat! Everyone was excited when we finally opened the piñata and pink candy/confetti came out. A few family members thought that maybe it was a boy but the general consensus was that it was a girl, so there really wasn’t a ton of surprise.
I knew at about 10 weeks that it was a girl. Call it mother’s intuition. We are planning on naming her after my grandmother who passed almost eight years ago. She and I were very close and I took it really hard when she died. I always knew I wanted to name my first daughter after her and luckily The Husband was on board. I feel like my grandmother is sending me this little girl. She has a purpose, and I hope I am able to help her fulfill that purpose and make my grandmother proud.
Aren’t these dresses adorable!? I tried so hard to hold off on buying anything baby related until I knew the sex for sure. I did buy a few stuffed animals and some bedding but was able to hold off on some clothes. Now that I know for sure that there is a little girl on the way, I have been going a little crazy buying things…
