It is not always easy to find a place that has anything gluten-free on their menu. It has gotten easier the last few years, but I always love finding new places! P.F. Chang’s is one of the few restaurants that actually has an entire gluten-free menu! I have now found a place that is equally as accommodating, Not Your Average Joe’s. It turns out they are all over the East Coast, so be sure to check out their website to see if you are near any of their other locations! We went to the Leesburg, VA location, which is just down the street from our new apartment.
I was so excited when I saw that they actually have a huge gluten-free selection! I was given an entirely separate menu with as many options as the regular menu. It took awhile to figure out what I wanted to eat, I am not used to having so many options. While I was deciding, I noticed this little paragraph at the top of the menu. I haven’t had bread and dip at a restaurant since my diagnosis! I was so excited! They brought out a separate basket of bread for me as well as my own dip. I was in heaven.
They have a lot of drink options as well. I opted for a mango lemonade, while The Husband had a Lime Ricky. Both were delicious!
We had the Thai Chicken lettuce wraps as an appetizer, they were amazing! There was so much food in each wrap, we had to eat them with our forks.
For the entre, I went with the Cider Glazed Chicken kabob. When they first brought it out, I kept thinking it was so small! Then I realized after all the bread and the chicken wraps, there was no way I was eating all of this. I ended up taking half of it home. It made an excellent snack the next day.
The Husband went for the Mustard Crusted Chicken BLT sandwich, he loved it as well.
Overall, a great experience and we will definitely be going back again! If you are looking for a place that people who are both gluten-free and not, this is a great place to go!
