If you have been around for awhile, you will remember my post from when we went to Jordan last June, Jordan: Movenpick Resort & Spa Dead Sea. When we were in Jordan for the event last month, we did spend a little time at the Movenpick. I wanted to updated all of you wonderful readers about how the Movenpick has changed!
When we walked into the Movenpick to pay a bill, we were welcomed by the Guest Services Manager. He had no idea who we were or why we were there. The desk staff was incredibly helpful in helping to pay for the bill. The Guest Services Manager was welcoming and kind. When we went into detail about who we were and our past experience at the hotel, he was very apologetic. It turns out the management staff had been replaced in July/August of 2014…right after my blog post. The new management staff is incredible! They know their hotel just as they should. The property has been cleaned up and the ferrel cats have been tamed. We were shown a few hotel rooms and they have also been cleaned up and updated.
Overall, I was very impressed by the push to get the hotel back to the Movenpick standard. While I have not stayed in the hotel since the new management has been brought in, I would definitely now recommend going to the Movenpick if you are going to the Dead Sea!
